FINANCIAL PROBLEM STUDENTS In the age of globalization, situation of students in universities are in a state of stress when students do not have the direction right after graduation and risks that must be faced if the wrong move at the university. When discussing about finance, are students who have difficulty when only depend on resources that are not 100% scholarship can meet all the needs of students in each semester. In fact, even among students who receive assistance from family money each month as their extra money, it is intended to cover the expenses that they are not enough. In order to assess whether we are in a difficult situation due to insufficient money is to look at the pace of our lifestyles. Student loans is the second highest source of debt of $2.1 trillion dollars in the U.S. economy right now. This student loan debt is not only affecting the entire economy as a whole. In America, people believe that earning at Bachelor’s degree is the key to success in order to be financially secure be set in life. However at the same time, the cost of tuition has skyrocketed, and the borrowing of loans rise with it. The rising of student loan and debt will reduce consumption, lower investing, lower the rate of home ownership, and overall make it difficult to sustain financial stability.
In 2014, just a bit over 70% of college students graduate with $33,000 in student loans. This number is staggering and why student loan debt has become such a hot topic of debate in the United States. In the meantime I think we, as students need to be a little more involved in our future and the college process rather than placing the burden and stress solely on our parents. There are various things I can do to reduce my student loan debt and avoid the stresses after I graduate college.
Studying at university is an expensive investment. Tuition fees have a disincentive effect on the students who from the lower and middle-income families. As Bruenig states the statistice of the college students from the poor and rich families “ At age nineteen, only around 20 percent of children from the poorest 2 percent of families in the country attend college. For the richest 2 percent of families, the same number is around 90 percent. ” Also, most of those students want to achieve better lives so they attend the higher education.
Many people dream of a life filled with riches, but that dream is hard to obtain without a college degree. It is somewhat ironic how people dream of being a successful student and going to college but the cost of tuition turns that dream into a horrible nightmare. It is not a shock to most people when they that college tuition is expensive, but in the past few years it has increased to an all-time high. Lower and middle class students have now begun to realize that college tuition is holding them away from their dreams. Even though college tuition could provide opportunities for job creation and economic growth, tuition is not affordable for the average American household which in effect, prohibits students from taking opportunities like going to college in the first place.
So many successful adults till this day are paying back their college debts. Over the years, some are able to pay back their debts in college and others are not able to and are still struggling, due to having to pay other debts that they may have. In some cases, some people drop out of college just so they will not have to owe so much money, but to drop out for that reason is not good. There are several of ways to stay away from college debt and that is getting scholarships, saving money before going into college, and also attending a community college instead of jumping to a university. College debt is a large amount of money that a college student will have to pay back within a certain amount of years after graduating.
