True Friendship and Violence The world is surrounded by disparate things. Marvelous, breath-taking, astounding, as well as grotesque, ugly things. If we didn’t have ugly things in our lives, we wouldn’t appreciate the beautiful things that exist. You see I keep saying things, and things and things, but what I mean by things is not specifically actual, material stuff, but everything that exists in our world. Have you ever taken a moment in your life to think about the things that you find beautiful, what you find ugly, what makes you happy, what makes you sad? True friendship is a combination of things such as trust, love, respect, and loyalty. I cannot even find the words to describe the specific feeling you obtain when you have a true friendship. You feel completed, you feel accompanied, you feel happy. True friendship is like a cold glass of water on a hot summers day, a warm, cozy blanket during the freezing winter, or a nice, pleasant word during a dismal day. Most people in the world cannot say that they have experienced the meaning of a true friendship. Some may believe that they had. But only a few fortunate have really experienced it. True friendships are surprisingly unforgettable. They make every day less hideous and more bearable, even pleasant, I can say. You can build true friendship with anyone that qualifies to be a true friend, even your own mother or the girl sitting next to you in Science class. Doing things such as sitting on the couch, watching a movie, surfing on the internet, eating, or just the simple act of breathing are better when you are accompanied, accompanied by someone you love and appreciate unconditionally, accompanied by a true friend.
