Individual paper (Functionalism) For the purpose of this essay question, I will first introduce about the functionalist perspective and then critically apply and explain the abuse of psychotropic substance for those aged below 21 from 2004 to 2009. Functionalism is a kind of way that people observe the world in sociology. Structure, function, functional prerequisites, value consensus, social order, socialization and norms and values are the parts of functionalism. The point of view of functionalism is that the various parts of society are considered to be interrelated and form a complete system.
