He proposed this term to designate the convergence of markets worldwide. According to the author globalization and technology are the two main factors forming the international relations. In the book "The Competitive Advantage of Nations" Michael Porter (1990) uses the term "globalization" to provide an enlightening insight of how countries can improve their competitive advantage in this era of free global market.
