According to my research, the Philippines has a lot of deities but only the goddess of love, Dian Masalanta, is the youngest among all the deities. She was considered as the most beautiful, and the most loving of all godesses. Dian Masalanta loved all things, such as the trees, flowers, shrubs, animals, birds, and she also had a deep love and connection with humanity. She is the daughter of Anagolay (goddess of the lost things) and Dumakulem (guardian of the mountains). Dian Masalanta has a brother, Apolake, who is the god of war. It is said that Dian Masalanta broke the sacred law which results in her banishment in the so called Kalangitan. No one until now knows what kind of sacred law she broke but many believe that it’s because of her first mortal love that she was punished and brought to the mortal world but then for Dian Masalanta it’s not a punishment for she loves the mortal world and she is happy to dwell in the mountains as its guardian. Since then, Dian Masalanta became the healer of every mortal being living in that particular mountain. Once in a while, someone takes advantage of Dian Masalanta being the mortal’s healer, so Dian Masalanta moves to another mountain

The book’s introduction is a man remembering his childhood in Nebraska, with his friend Antonia. Throughout the book Antonia is constantly brought up, even after Jim moves to New York. Throughout Jim’s life he faces many changes, but never forgets Antonia and his home town.

For instance Lady Reason states, “Believe me, despite what you’ve read in books, you’ve never seen such a thing, because it’s all pack of outrageous lies” (785). Lady Justice is presented with a container of gold given for rewards to those who have remained loyal, and righteous. Women from the Philippines, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand and Korea depart their homes in the search for a better life for their children and family. Today women travel to wealthy countries like the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom take jobs as nannies leaving their children behind to be taken care by mother's, aunt and sometimes even orphanages. These women sacrifice the love they are expected to give to their children to provide material goods to ensure their survival and flourishing in today's society. These women sell their love for children in rich countries so that their own children can have a life similar to that of the children they learn to live in the absence of their own children. Love has become a good that is extracted from poor countries to that of the wealthy countries as described by Barbara Ehrenreich and Arlie Russell
Their Gods and Importance Within the Zuni supernatural order, "The Ones Who Hold Our Roads" (which is what the Zuni called them) are supreme. These are the Sun Father and his wife, Moon Mother. In ancient times, there is a general sense that women were simply items and slaves to their husbands. Ancient Greece specifically has a renowned reputation of favoring men. Men possessed the dominant role in public affairs and events while most women were pressured to stay at home. Very few records extensively discuss women; the records focus mostly on men. Despite the lacking records, it is certain how ancient Greeks viewed their women and their relationships with their male counterparts.
