Have you ever read something with great content, but the grammatical errors were driving you crazy? Or vice versa, have you ever read something with an excellent grammar and a good sentence structure, but the content was just not interesting, inspiring or entertaining? The misconception people often have about writing is to believe that the art of writing correctly is to follow all the grammar rules and that that is more than enough to write a good text, essay, book, and so forth. However, to achieve a text correctly written not only implies making use of all the grammar rules, but instead good writing should reflect knowledge, contain a variety of features, and communicate or express something to the audience.

Good writers take criticism without taking it personally; they are conscious that good writing demands improvements and that is why feedback is so important. Good writing is like a diamond that needs to be polished to achieve its maximum brilliance.
Nevertheless, some of the most popular books are not necessarily well written. A clear example is the book The Hunger Games by Susan Collins. It is a book wildly popular and read it by large audiences, but it cannot be taken for granted that such book is a shining example of good grammar. In fact, bad grammar is evident in many sentences, some are poorly structured and others have more commas than necessary. So why is that bad grammar is celebrated, rather than be criticized? It is not that today's readers make poor choices. Many readers acknowledge that the book they loved is riddled with mistakes, but they consciously overlook them because they love the plot and the characters of the book.
Therefore, good writing is not just good grammar and a good sentence structure. It is true that they complement each other, but also a literary work must contain a purpose, inspire, entertain, or inform. Without a purpose, the piece would just be simple words written on a
