There are many ways that one can take feasible steps at the grass root level to increase the quality of life for all people without increasing environmental degradation. The following are some of the ways in my viewpoint which can yield results.-
1. Reducing our dependence on private transport motor vehicles.
With the increase in per-capita income of people living in urban areas, the sale of cars has boomed at a vast scale. The loan schemes of banks have ensured that every middle class family becomes an owner of a car. As traffic originates from vehicles not the density. The increase in number of vehicles over the years has led to incessant traffic congestions leading to the degradation of environment to a great extent. Even from my personal experience, I can tell you that employees of my workplace at Panjab University use private cars to commute to and from work in spite of the fact that their homes are inside the University campus. It is an established fact that adequate walking, cycling and public transport networks can actually reduce the use of private vehicles in the city. Traffic congested areas require effective management and enforcement systems so as to reduce the congestion in the road. By regulating the use of street space

Use of Alternate fuels and regular checking of pollution status of our owned vehicles.
Use of alternate fuels like CNG/LPG in your vehicles can help in reduction of air pollution. The strict implementation of these alternative fuels can help in to reduce fossil fuel emissions and the risks that accompany. Use of CNG and LPG fuels in heavy public transport vehicles can substantially lower emissions of petrol and diesel. Moreover, the biggest concern with cars and private owned vehicles is that their owners won’t maintain them and check their pollution status. The older the car gets, the more important it becomes to check its vehicle emission which can contribute to air pollution.
3. Efficient use of energy in Buildings and
These could range from education to becoming more Earth friendly. We can reform education in many ways. We can first start off children with more difficult curriculum in lower grades to get them more prepared for harder and more important subjects. Another way to reform in the classroom is to provide better teachers who will ensure that every student will learn what they are supposed to. We can be more Earth friendly by making more houses use solar power.
Cars are transforming the lives of millions. You do not have to live near work. Cities explode outworks, creating giant suburbs. New highways were built and shopping malls with giant car parks. Over the hills a real-estate syndicate buys 500 acres.
In the early 2000 Al Gore once said, “The planet is in distress and all the attention is on Paris Hilton.” In the same theme, Michael Pollan writes, “Why Bother?”, an article from The New York Times Magazine published in 2008 telling Americans they are too consumed with themselves and maintain a “cheap-energy mind”. And here, in 2016 climate change is seriously happening and the nation is still not addressing the gravity of the issue and why we should indeed bother to make changes. It is time that this nation discerns that climate change is real and it is happening as we speak. Climate change is a threat to each and every one of us and imperative to the survival of life on this planet.
Here I will be comparing the electric car with its petrol engine car counterpart. Combustion engine cars produce a lot of carbon emissions that are ejected into our atmosphere, leaving us vulnerable to things like pollution and greenhouse gases. In order to help the environment we live in, an electric car is
1. Introduction Air pollutin is a public health concern and it has been since the discovery of fire. Incidents and episodes of air pollution have been recorded throughout the history. Air pollution is divided into two, it is the indoor air pollution and the outdoor air pollution. Indoor air pollution is produced in households or at offices by pollutants such as tobacco smoke, household products or pesticides.
A lot of people love to hear about energy efficient and environmentally friendly options out there. The electric vehicles today serve great benefits in keeping emissions down and using a more friendly alternative energy source. In my opinion they have made an impact on the environment, but a major benefit in using this alternative resource is less cost to fuel the vehicle. Gasoline is very expensive today, and using the energy that is used to power our home, is much less expensive and more available than gas. The environment, as claimed by environmentalists, suffers due to the emissions of automobiles today.
Automotive emission related air pollution must be reduced before its effects on health can
The reduction of carbon emissions to the atmosphere, the cost of maintenance and refuelling and the safety of electric vehicles are surely convincing rationale for us to make changes. So, we all know that majority of people commonly utilise fuel, oil or LPG as a
Good Afternoon Everyone “The best solution to pollution is dilution”. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s’ report of 2010 Transportation contributes 13% to the global greenhouse gas emissions. So, have you ever thought of diluting the emissions by switching to Hybrid Vehicles? You may be thinking that Hybrid Vehicles are modern inventions due to technological advancements but did you know that it existed prior to the invention of the conventional gasoline vehicles.
Lastly, I would give ways on what you can do to have cleaner air. II. Body a. To begin with, pollution can be
Currently people live in a very competitive and growing technology thus they are doing whatever they can to ensure they cop up with this advancing technology. The difficulty of the social implication of car technology is multiplied by complete lack of stability in this field. Over the years, there has been a huge advancement in car technology, from the days when people used diesel operated engines to today when we have hybrid cars fitted with two engines that uses gasoline and another which is electric. This growth has impacted the society in various ways. Car technology is one of the
First of all, cars should be banned from big cities for the cause of pollution it makes in the streets. Pollution has become a serious and dangerous problem in big cities
To become a sustainable society, we must eliminate our contributions to: No1. The increase of concentrations of substances extracted from the Earth’s crust (heavy metals and fossil fuels) No2. The increase of concentrations of substances produced by society (plastics, dioxins and DDT) No3. The physical degradation of nature and natural processes (harvesting forests and destroying habitat)
One of the greatest issues that we face towards the environment has been an increasingly difficult problem over the last few years. Earths climate is changing at rapid paces and solutions are needed as quickly as possible to replenish natural ecosystems and cultures that depend on the environment. Climate change not only affects the animals in our ecosystem, but us humans as well. With the human population increasing every year, climate change is only getting worse. Many argue that the effects of climate change towards the environment are due to other extraneous factors, however, I myself am a strong believer that the problems such as rising sea levels, warmer temperatures and natural disasters are all due to both natural causes and human activity.
