The Greater New Orleans Foundation Charity Organizations make an important contribution to the social community. Charities provide essential services that positively impact the lives of citizens such as, building schools, hospitals, and etc. The Greater New Orleans Foundation is one of the oldest and largest foundations in New Orleans. Every day, the foundation joins other foundations, non-profit organizations, community leaders, and many others help out the community and solve its problems. It helps create a strong and tolerable community to make individuals feel safe. The Greater New Orleans Foundation encourages people to be a philanthropist and discover new ways to give back to the community. According to the GNOF website, its main goal is to “Create a thriving community for all” by “Linking philanthropists with the needs and aspirations of the greater community.” …show more content…

One of the programs the foundation is working on is education. The foundation ensures to create a public education system that the community deserves. The foundation seeks to create a strong advocacy community for children zero to five with significant leadership participation by low income families which was stated on the GNOF website. This shows how the foundation is actually passionate about helping the poor to get the best education possible. Another program the foundation is working on is the youth development. It helps provide youth workers with education, tools, and skills that could help improve their knowledge.
