SPIRITUAL NEEDS: These are the needs to know God and to worship and obey Him, the satisfaction we derive from them, the hope of entering heaven after death, and God’s protection from the things that are beyond our control. Examples are: Fasting, Prayer, Doing good to Others etc. 2. PHYSIOLOGICAL NEEDS: These are the things we need for consistent living and preservation of our lives. Examples are: air, water, good food, clothes, house, sex for reproduction purpose, basic education, movement, communication etc. 3. SECURITY AND SAFETY: These are the needs that cater for our assurance of getting and securing the other needs that we have satisfied. Examples are; formation of government for protection, law and order, being sure that the religion you choose is the right one for fear of hell fire, having enough money in case of emergency and other physiological needs, having insurance on your properties in case of disaster, access to healthcare. 4. SOCIAL NEEDS: Humans are social beings, who easily get bored, and there is need to catch fun and make life lively, to love and be loved, social needs eliminate boredom. Examples are; having friends and family, going for sports, music, games, tourism, having sex for pleasure, movies, hobbies, travelling, adventure, learning new things, freedom, going to club
In P5 of my work I am going to outline and discuss the strategies and procedures used in health and social care to reduce the risk of abuse. The aim of the independent safeguarding Authority (ISA) was established under the Safeguarding Groups Act 2006 to protect children and vulnerable adult to those who might abuse them. The strategy in order to achieve this is through mentoring people who seek access through their work, paid, unpaid and voluntary. As they have to be registered under the vetting and barring scheme and will be checked against one of two barred list. Reference can be defined as being information that is written by a pervious employer that tells the workplace what type of person the individual is and if their experience is valid and if they have the experience to work with vulnerable adult.
P4- when looking at strategies and communication techniques used with different individuals with different needs whom need to overcome different challenges many aspects must be looked at. A challenge Patrick may face may be awareness and knowledge, he may face this as well as others. Patrick may be aware that he has HIV however he may not be aware how much this will effect him and he may not be aware how to deal with it as he may lack the knowledge. In order to overcome this Patrick could educate himself in depth on HIV, this will help him come to terms with it and will also help him to help others understand HIV. In the ever changing landscape of health and social care and children and young person’s settings there are many pieces of government legislation and regulatory framework that service providers and organisations must now comply with. For example Care Quality Commission (CQC) introduced the essential standards of quality and safety which are central to the workplace. Every staff member has responsibility for providing good quality social care. Social care governance is the process by which organisations ensure good service delivery and promote good outcomes for people who use services.

It is important that the local manager • Demonstrates a caring attitude and shows that there is a genuine attempt to understand the problem. • Ensures the complainant is aware of the complaint process and timelines • Provides the complainant with their contact name and telephone number • Obtains all complaint details at this point of contact to avoid the customer having to repeat themselves
When people are born there are basic needs that everyone should be accessible to survive. People need to have food, water, clothes and shelter, all these basic needs should be readily available. When it is heard that certain parts of the United States are suffering from basic needs is a huge concern. All people should have access to basic needs such as food and water. But now in the 21st century the United States, is facing problems that are usually seen in third world countries.
One study revealed that money was an essential need for happiness, but it was not what made the people happy. They established satisfaction in close relationships with loved ones, community work, fulfillment and pride from their work and accomplishments (Diener and Biswas-Diener 162). The highest life satisfaction was found in societies of wealthy nation while the unhappiest nations were the extremely poor ones. When it comes to materialism, it does not matter if someone is rich or poor, all that matters is that “your income is sufficient to your desire,” and that “differences in aspirations lead to very different amounts of happiness” (Diener and Biswas-Diener 170).
It is divided into five levels of needs. The most basic need is physiological needs, followed by safety & security needs, social needs, self-esteem needs as well as self-actualization needs. According to this theory, if you want to achieve a higher needs, you must firstly fulfil the lowest needs which is physiological needs. In another words, when you already fulfil a needs, you will surely seek for a higher needs. Physiological needs are the most basic needs for human being survival such as food, water, shelter and freedom from diseases.

Examining Piaget and Maslow’s theories, and applying them to the classroom will facilitate achieving this goal. This indicates that Starbuck have a good work environment that allows them to retain employees and emphasized in term of the employee motivation. One of the motivation theory that Starbuck had been applied is the Maslow’s need hierarchy theory.
Safety needs influence us because if we do not feel safe we may be constantly scared. Safety needs include being safe in our work environment and at home. The third level is belonging needs, which is being with others, being accepted, and belonging. Belonging needs influence us in relationships, are we being accepted and or loved by the other individual? The forth level is esteem needs, which is achieving, being competent, gaining approval and recognition.
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. This theory lies on the premise that people can rarely achieve their full potential without having met their basic needs; if the target population lacks of basic needs, any intervention that does not address this particular issue will fail. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is based on the physiological and psychological needs. Once these needs are covered, we will be able to engage someone to change habits in order to achieve our goals. It is highly important to recognize the target population and their basic needs.
Inefficient policies all around the world and especially in our country are contributing to problems in the society. And the biggest problem which the world faces today is the problem of “Poverty” and “Inequality”. It is hard for one to determine whether poverty causes inequality or is it the other way around because both these problems are interrelated. Poverty is something which is caused due to transferring wealth in to the hands of a specific group and the unjust policies of the government. And inequality is discriminating a person in all spheres of life which gives a rise to sense of deprivation.
