Refrigerators and heat pumps are essentially the same devices; they differ in their objectives only. The objective of a refrigerator is to maintain the refrigerated space at a low temperature by removing heat from it. Discharging this heat to a higher-temperature medium is merely a necessary part of the operation, not the purpose. The objective of a heat pump, however, is to maintain a heated space at a high temperature. This is accomplished by absorbing heat from a low-temperature source, such as well water or cold outside air in winter, and supplying this heat to a warmer medium such as a house.
First they have a geothermal heat pump to transfer heat between the building and the fluid in the ground connection, ground connection for transferring heat between its fluid and the ground and also they have a distribution system to delivering cooling or heating to the building. Every system may also have a desuperheater, that provide hot water only as a side benefit of a space conditioning, or a full-demand water heater which meet all the places that want hot water into the house. Geothermal heat pumps designed to distribute heat using ducted air also contain the air handler duct
The flow of water to the oil cooler of governor oil system is maintained automatically by an electromagnetic valve and globe valve which facilitates repairs and servicing. A pressure gauge located after the electromagnetic valve indicates the pressure of the cooling water being fed to the oil cooler. Another pipe carries technical water to the guide bearing oil cooler, on the outlet pipe from the guide bearing cooler, a flow failure relay has been provided to give a signal in case of flow-failure through the pipe. The outlet pipe discharges water from the cooler into the drainage channel. 2.4.1 Oil pipe lines of the governing
Ergodyne Chill-Its 6710 Evaporative Polymer Cooling Dew Rag is another product from the Chill-its range. It is high-absorbing cooling towel which can be converted into a headband and headgear. This product is popular in the market with its super feature of acrylic polymer crystals which are highly evaporative. It helps in absorbing the water and sweat to evaporate it and provide cooling effects. This cooling effect in turn cools the body part where this cooling towel is used; be it head, hand, shoulder or anywhere.
Fuel oils like gasoline are vaporized in internal combustion engines and ignited automatically producing heat, which is then translated into work. Gasoline and diesel engines may both be of the four-stroke or two-stroke type. In a refrigerator as heat pump, work is applied to absorb heat from its interior and its content, and to release this heat outside a higher temperature. The usefulness of a machine is determined by its efficiency. A machine converts the force provided from an input energy into output work.
Fluid bed dryer (FBD) is a dryer in which material is maintained suspended against gravity in an upward flowing air stream creating a fluidized condition. Electrical heaters are employed to generate heat for drying the material. This hot air expands the bed of material at its terminal velocity and creating turbulence in the product (terminal velocity is the minimum velocity of the air sufficient to keep the given particle hanging in the air). This phenomenon is known as fluidization and offers more surface area for drying as the complete particle is then comes into contact of heated air. As it produces full agitation of solid particles, it results in high rate of heat transfer and uniform drying.
Different types of boilers working principle of boiler different parts of boilers A Boiler is a closed container to heat water until it becomes hot water or steam. The heated or vaporized liquid under pressure is then applied in different processes or heating applications, which include water heating , central heating, cooking, and power generation. The boiler (or evaporator) is a part of the steam generator where phase change liquid to vapour occurs at constant pressure and temperature but the term "boiler" is generally used to mean the entire steam generator. Water being a cheap medium for transferring heat to a process is generally used in a boiler. Steam generators or boilers can be classified according to the relative flow of products
Abstract Now days due to energy crisis and harmful effect to environment, there is more and more urgent need of energy saving in air conditioning and water cooling demands in mainly consideration of all the free cooling techniques. Among them evaporative cooling is well known technique from long time which gives good results and wide number of applications in residential, commercial, agricultural, and institutional buildings to industrial applications like as spot cooling in power plants, foundries, etc. So in this paper the evaporative cooling, it’s potential, and different trends in evaporative cooling are studied, which are environment friendly as it uses only natural energy as latent heat of water. The efficiency and effectiveness of evaporative cooling depends on surrounding climatic conditions which are studied in this paper, faster the evaporation rate we gate maximum cooling effect. Keywords: Evaporative cooling, ambient conditions, wick material, direct-indirect evaporative cooling.

TASK II: APPLICATION OF RISK ASSESSMENT TECHNQUES – DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH SPEED AIR HAND DRYER 1.0 Introduction: Hand dryers are electric appliances which commonly found in public washrooms used to dry hands. They either operate with a push button or automatically using an infrared sensor. In general, there are two different technology deployed in drying hands, “hot air” method and “high speed air” method. “Hot air” method is the most common type found in the market. It uses “hot air” to dry our hands.
