Ideologies Ideologies are a set of simple beliefs, opinions or basic values of an individual or a community of people. It often refers to political beliefs that give different cultures their characteristics. Few of the ideologies that exist in the world include Liberalism, Socialism, Communism and Pancasila. Throughout human history, each of these ideologies have played major roles and each of them have been represented by a figure. Liberalism is an ideology where people believe that they have a right to their freedom. The main aim of liberals is to ensure that everyone is free to make their own choices and allow themselves to develop. There are five principles of Pancasila: Believe in one and only God. Just and civilized humanity The Unity of Indonesia Democracy guided by the inner wisdom in the unanimity arising out of deliberations amongst representatives. Social justice for the whole of the people of Indonesia. The main figure for pancasila is Yapto Soerjosoemarno. The pancasila was found to be the Indonesian philiosophy in the 1945 Constitution when Indonesia became an Independent country in the same year. This ideology is currently believed only in Indonesia. The difference between Pancasila and the other three ideologies is that along with freedom, it teaches the people of a nation to stand together. While ideologies such as communism and socialism aim to ensure that private property is not owned and that everything benefits the society as a whole, Pancasila provides benefit to the society along with individual development. This is seen in the fourth and fifth sila. It provides democracy, thus allows people to do what they want but also ensures that there is justice in the society. Unlike liberalism, Pancasila also believes that along with individual freedom, people should have constraints on themselves which is not imposed by the government so that justice, civility and humanity is maintained among them
