INTRODUCTION
Loss of hearing can cause people to become isolated and lonely, having a tremendous effect on both their social and working life. Sign Language is the only means of communication for deaf people. A translator is usually needed when an ordinary person wants to communicate with a deaf one.
Many people never try to learn the sign language for interacting with the deaf people It becomes difficult finding a well experienced and educated translator for the sign language every time and everywhere. The deaf community can interact with normal people with an automation system that can associate signs to the words of spoken language. This will help them to enhance their abilities and make them aware that they can do better things for the growth and

India is diversified in language, culture, and religion.
India does not have a standard sign language. Various dialects of ISL with lexical variation are found in different parts of the
India. Still, the grammatical structure is same for most of the dialects. Linguistic work on Indian Sign Language (ISL) began in the 1970’s. In 1977, with partial support from the National
Science Foundation (USA) Vasishta, Woodward, and Wilson visited India and collected signs from different centres in India for linguistic analyses. Subsequent efforts by Vasishta et al [1] resulted in dictionaries of ISL regional varieties and some articles. There are around 2037 signs currently available in sign language. I. RELATED WORKS
A brief study of Indian Sign Language, its dialects and varieties and recent efforts taken in the standardization of ISL are done in [2]. This paper gives also proposed a methodology to recognize static single hand gestures of a subset of Indian sign language. The proposed recognition system aims for signer-independent operation and utilizes a single web camera for data acquisition to ensure user
It doesn’t require any special measures to change them. The Journey into the Deaf- World offers a comprehensive absorbing study into the Deaf- World. Wells Fargo’s commercial “Learning Sign Language” effectively sells their company’s purpose by appealing to a new group of homosexual couples, using pathos throughout the commercial, and using rhetorical elements such as genre, context, and purpose. Wells Fargo’s commercial was released at a time when the Supreme Court was taking on the case of Obergefell v. Hodges. The ruling of this case made same sex marriage legal in all 50 states. Their decision to release this commercial was strategic.
Gallaudet traveled to Europe seeking of the best educational methods for teaching deaf children. Gallaudet did not really like England’s system, because “it didn't encourage the use of manual communication, that is, sign language” (The History Behind DPN: What Happened…). Since Gallaudet did not like the way it was in England, then he went to France. Finally he met educators from the Paris School for the Deaf who agreed to share information about sign language and how to educate deaf children.
As a result, deaf children suffer from unqualified teachers and/or interpreters and do not receive the quality education as they deserve. This is a topic that strongly concerns me and I feel passionate about being part of changing deaf education to better support deaf children. To ensure that I am qualified and effective interpreter, I hope to achieve a score of at least a 4.0 of the IEPA exam. In addition, I want to learn more about how to work with other educational staff effectively. For example, learning to manage the teacher’s accent, a rapid pace of lecture, and how to organize positioning in the classroom, will be important to know.
Growing up in a small-town I was literally in a culture bubble. There were almost no deaf people. I just never had the opportunity to converse with someone who is deaf. As I was reading this book I noticed my internal motivation for learning ASL was changing. I now want to learn as much ASL as I possibly can, so I can chat with those I come in contact with that are deaf or hard of hearing.
This led to a teaching method being created in 1970 that did not favor sign language or oralism and every child was considered equal and able to get the education that they needed. This is extremely important to me as a future educator that every student, no matter the disability, was treated equally. Every student should be able to have the same opportunity to learn. The method used in education that started in the early 1970s was known as Total Communication. In an article called The History of Communication, written on start ASL’s website, stated that Total Communication gives the opportunity to deaf students in numerous ways such as ASL, fingerspelling, lip reading, pictures, use of computers, writing, gestures, reading, expression and the use of hearing aids that some schools had to provide.
American sign language or ASL is a complete language that uses signs made by hand gestures, facial expressions and your body posture. It is the primary communication of those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Sign language is universal. Where did this beautiful language come from?
The History of Deaf Culture Deaf people have long been discriminated against. In 1000 BC, their rights were denied due to Hebrew Law. Those who were Deaf could not own property, testify in court, couldn’t participate in temples, and even had different laws for marriage. This is just the beginning, from 427-237 BC Plato believed that all intelligence was present when someone is born.
From taking my first-ever ASL class to a Deaf culture class, I have learned a lot about a community that is right under my nose. Reading this book has also changed my outlook for the better on the Deaf culture. Many people stereotype Deaf culture, to be weird or not useful. As a hearing person who has never had to daily communicate within the community, I find myself learning more and more every day about customs and the way of living by the Deaf. I think of the saying some people use “Deaf and Dumb” and I think to myself how this even came to be.
Communication is one of the most important aspects of human life. Without communication, we would be a primitive society of wild animals, unable to cooperate and achieve great feats, such as building the Pyramids, landing on the Moon, or organizing a democracy. All people rely on communication to express ideas that motivate positive societal and political change. Yet not everybody communicates in the same way. There are several thousand languages that people speak; there are several hundred thousand people around the world that suffer from disabilities such and blindness or deafness that require special means of communications such as braille or sign language.
With this experience, it had allowed me the space to utilize the skills that I have to acquire through my educational program while attending QCC. I have found this experience to be rewarding which gave me great insight into my future of being a Sign Language Interpreter. By me working side by side with members of the Deaf community, it has shown me …. And with this I have a better understanding what it means to be a sign language interpreter. Therefore, my hope is that by me being accepted to your program I can further learn more about the community and the different ways in which I can be helpful towards members within the Deaf community.
The other two wear FM radio. I try sign as much as I can but it drop as I speak in English for the rest of the students. " "Deaf child is in a mainstream class, the teacher is using spoken English because you can’t use two languages like in ISL at the same time. " "For example, it takes 20 minutes to explain a home economic concept. A Deaf child try to get as much as it can, doesn’t get it because it’s all in English.
Then Indian man showed why they didn’t use. Then Todd understood the situation. Language is not just letter. We can use to communicate symbols, sign, color, gesture. Moreover, American man name was Todd but Indian people Mr. Toad.
The concept of accessibility extends to a wide range of facilities that are a part of our everyday usage such as elevators, Braille signage and sound-enabled signals at pedestrian crossings. The overall aim of this concept is to enable people with special requirements to gain access to aspects of everyday life that include transportation, education, employment, housing, entertainment and so on.
