In this report I will be comparing three different employers about their recruitment process and what approaches they use. The three companies I will be looking at are Teach First, Royal Navy and Rolls Royce. The Grad Edge Opportunities Fair provides opportunities for students to find out information about their potential careers. The recruitment process for Teach First is a step by step process. The first thing an individual will need to do is apply online and then the application form is reviewed by a group of professionals who are experienced in that area.
Mascaro’s work resides in human resources, which is her staff. It starts with hiring the right people for the job. If she is short staffed, other employees have to fill-in so the members are not impacted by having to wait to be serviced. These other employees are impacted by being taken away from their daily tasks and take on more responsibility than normal so they can continue to provide the best services possible to the members. When hiring new staff, they go through a process to be sure they are hiring the right people.
As a Summer Melt Counselor, I was responsible for a plethora of task. My first assignment was to reach out to each of Nazarene’s senior students and confirm what their post-graduation plans were, where they were attending college, and assessing what assistance each student needed. I utilized emailing, calling, texting, social media, and reaching out to senior counselors to make contact with the students. Getting in contact with the students was one of the more difficult aspects of the program; many students had changed phone numbers, had situations come up that altered their plans, and were busy working or doing other activities that it was not always easy to keep in contact. In the future it might helpful to schedule a meeting or program towards the end of the school year, with the senior TRIO students from each of the target schools to get a final update on the students plans and contact information, that way we can begin
Over the weekend I interviewed a Platteville RA (Resident Assistant), because they generally have good advice to incoming classes. RA’s deal with any problem on their wing or the whole building when on call. Zach Hahn is the RA on the eastside of Southwest Hall on floor three. Scheduling an interview with this popular man was challenging, although the interview was brief he shared some valuable information. Incoming freshman should know what happens when a student must be written up, why the first month of school is the busiest time, and lastly what is the best part about being a RA.
Two of them will be administered in the beginning of the semester and the other two will be utilized at the end of the term. These instruments are the pre and post surveys: The first type will regard the following subjects: self-esteem, peers, self-confidence, the ability to accept one’s self, being assertive, overcoming difficult situations, resolving conflict, managing anxiety, managing depression and addressing other issues. The second type of survey is called Elevator Music in My Head, which will be conducted verbally with the participant. This exercise deals with word association. The leader will meet with each participant one-on-one and will record the statements the participant makes when given words and phrases such as “family” or “When I look in the mirror, I see…” for one full minute.

It will briefly discuss the feedback from my tutor and the group members. And finally the conclusion. Definition of group According to Berg, Fall, & Landre (2013, p 195) "Group work is a broad professional practice involving the application of knowledge and skill in group facilitation to assist an interdependent collection of people to reach their mutual goals which may be intra-personal, interpersonal, or work related" Planning In order to prepare for our group facilitation exercise, my colleague and I sat together for the first time in class to plan and discussed our understanding of what we thought was expected of us. According to (Corey, Corey & Corey, 2010) if group facilitators are prepared, they are more likely to be able to effectively open up members for a meaningful group experience. We agreed that I would open the group and my colleague would close the group.
When in reality I need some sort of extra help. I also need to work on following up with situations. I tend to be the person that when I find a solution, I leave it alone. Although, just because I find a solution for the moment, it doesn’t mean that I found the best solution/ it will work entirely. I am trying to better myself mentally for personal relationships moving
You Did Not Ask Any Questions While you are being interviewed for a job, it is also expected that you interview the hiring manager. Asking questions allows you to stand out above the other candidates. Failing to do so may make your interview forgettable. 5.
