JAYAPRAKASH NARAYAN Jayaprakash Narayan, also referred to as, JP or Lok Nayak, has been an important activist in India’s struggle for Independence. Social reformer and political leader, remembered especially for leading the mid-1970s revolts against Indira Gandhi. The Patna airport was named after him. He was the fourth child of Harsu Dayal Srivastava and Phul Rani Devi. His father was a junior official in Canal Department, State government.
