According to Jane et al. (2014), the number of loneliness elderly had increased year by year. As on 2014, the rate of loneliness is 32% which had increased from 27% on 2013. In the study, it is stated that the increased number of loneliness have positive correlation with the suicide rate of elderly in Malaysia. As in 2015, the loneliness rate increased to 41% (Star, 2016). This matter need to be taken seriously because as 2030, Malaysia is projected to be an aging country by 2030 where the number of aging population is more than 15%. One of the factors that contribute to the loneliness rate is the aging population. JUSTIFICATION FOR THE PROJECT Since Malaysia will face an ageing population by 2030 with the concern of high loneliness rate as well as suicide level of the aged, therefore it is important to conduct a CSR Project to bring cheer to the aged which could give numerous impact to related authority. It is a highly concern that Malaysia will face an ageing population by 2030 with 15% of its population are aged people. Some of these people are experiencing loneliness and it is our responsibilities to reduce the loneliness level among them by bringing cheer. Besides that, CSR programme that are consist of four programmes can bring happiness. It can enhance the engagement of DPA Cadets with the old folks as well as bring cheers to the old folks. METHOD There are two strategies in conducting the CSR Project which are through Outdoor Activity with Old Folks, and Visit to Pusat Jagaan Warga Tua, Putrajaya. 320 DPA cadets and the old folks. 78 DPA cadets from ANDEKA To support healthy lifestyle amongst the old folks and DPA cadets, encourage interaction between the DPA cadets and the members of the old folks home. The first suggestion is to organize a Walk-a-Thon between the elderly, cadets and members of the public to provide an engagement and interaction platform between the DPA cadets and the elderly. At the same time, this event will encourage healthy lifestyle among the elderly and will provide a source of contentment to them. The walk would involve 30 elderlies from Pusat Jagaan Warga Tua Cahaya and 320 DPA cadets, Putrajaya and will be organized on 24th of February, 2018. Putrajaya Lake is selected as the Walk-a-thon venue since it is located near to the old folk’s home.
