According to the textbook, Creating Career Success, asserted Motivated Skills means that one is identifying their own skills to help one prepare them for the future when it comes to work. The importance of motivated skills is that one will be identifying their highs and lows when it comes to their personal skills. So, throughout the course of week 3 till week 6 I developed more knowledge of my motivated skills. Clearly, I am not so brilliant when it comes to test because I get really tense and nervous. To illustrate, on Tuesday of this week my professor of Developmental Psychology had a test which I was really stressed out about. But, I know that every test that I am taking is based on my knowledge to be used this in my career decision making. In fact, I have to take test that would be indicating types of moods that have to do with the children that I will be working with in the future. For example, a question asked in the exam was the age children development of their moods. Surly, the question will be an example for me to know in the future. The following least motivated skill that I have is Read for information. Personally, I do not like to read stuff I just tend to get to the answer or my assumption. For example, if the excerpt is a lot I tend to skim through the passages. Clearly, this method is a pro and con because I tend to not really read for instructions. But, in the future I will be using read for information expert when dealing with children. Because I will be having the children at least write a little bit about themselves so I can get to know them a little better. Overall, I have three positive motivated skills and the least wanted of my two motivated skills traits that make me the women that I am today. Since, I’ve been stomped by my own family which
He reports that during testing pressure to perform well acts as a motivator, however, fear of testing anxiety and failure become devastating to him because his self-worth is connected to the outcome of the test. He reports that bad experiences ( not passing his tests ) with test-taking has lead him to have a negative mindset and influences his expectations for his performance on future tests. (Diane M Barone/Marla H. Mallette, 2013). They need to have a regular routine and a place in the house where children can do their work. (Diane M Barone/Marla H. Mallette, 2013). A parent that reads and listen to their child read-aloud can help in early decoding, and fluency skills. The parents can use explicit instruction, paired and repeated readings and giving the child corrective feedback.
My top four priorities for work are stability/ reliability, balance, money, and passionate. I would need a stable/ reliable job so I wouldn’t have to worried about losing my job. A deal breaker would be a lack of financial stability because I need to be able to pay my bills and then still have money left over to leisurely spend or for emergencies. Some of the character strengths that I felt accurately described me are gratitude, humor, and curiosity. Humor describes me the most because I like joking around and making others around me laugh.
Even though I still struggle with a reading, I become better than before. I have more confidence to ask when I need or want to know the words. Reading give straight and opens the mind. I expect to be a better reader and writer. Reading is the key to filling and empty
The concept of Motivation has many different factors that can define it. Because there are different factors, Motivation can mean a lot of different things. In this paper, I have conducted 5 interviews with people of different backgrounds and ages. No names will be used at their request but they all come from close friends or family. Only important background information will be referenced so accurate conclusions or assumptions can be made.
Reading exposed me to many different situations and outcomes, and it broadened my vocabulary. In a way reading helped me prepare for the real world. People usually
W-7 – PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES 1. I chose these competences because as a nurse it is vital to maintain professional boundaries and still be able to provide the therapeutic care without personally getting attached to patients. 2. From the article I learned that it is ok to be present with your patient, and caring about what they might be going through as you provide necessary care and support, but not to excessively worrying about a patient in your personal life/home” (p. 407) 3.
Post an identification and analysis of your personal sources of motivation as an employee or student. My personal source of motivation is the skill development motivation, and has been for over 5 years now. It also to some degree is personal goals motivation as these two go hand in hand. However, the skill development to personal goals motivation is somewhere in the neighborhood of 75/25 in favor of skill development (Akers, n.d).
My father always told me “Experience is the best teacher.” I recall my exact actions prior to an important test that determined what college I would be going to. The American College Testing Program, otherwise known as the ACT. Weeks before the test date, I failed to thoroughly practice. The only practice I thought I needed were the practice tests my teachers provided me.
1.1 Introduction In today’s environment, the ownership is on us, as an individual to take responsibility for our own development, rather than expecting our organization to do it for us. The question, which always ponders over mind is does my personal skills suits to today’s dynamic world? If not, how do I move forward? Hence, the starting point is to introspect, retrospect and do an evaluation through self-assessment tools in order to know myself, strengths and limitations and my ability to perform in dynamic roles in the business environment.
Imagine a beautiful, sunny day with no clouds, and you’re stuck in a cold, stinky, sweaty, and obnoxiously quiet room taking your third, one hour long, test today. The quiet starts to drive students mad. Students shouldn’t have to take standardized tests. Standardized tests take up the tax payers money. Tests already stress students out and now a bigger one comes with more stress.
In fact, individual emotional and motivational aspects should be considered [17]. Motivation is defined as a desire to make an attempt in order to perform duties and responsibilities and to use individual skills [18]. Experts have devided motivation into two main groups, namely intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.
