My Purpose in Life

What is the purpose of life? What is the meaning of it? Why are we here? Is there a God? Which religion adhere 's most to the concept of God, of a supreme being? Is there an afterlife? So if nobody knows his purpose in life, maybe, each one of us should choose it independently. There are many different purposes to life depending on your religious background or career aspirations. If we do not include religion, then we are just animals on this earth, born to live out our life span and die. I do not believe there is nothing after death, infact, I am of the opinion that we were created by a higher being; God. In this essay, I will talk about my career goals and what I plan to achieve with education. I will then focus on one major philosophical view -Theism and how it relates to understanding the meaning of life. Lastly, I will discuss my personal opinions on the meaningof life in biblical terms and reveal my purpose in life. I am guided by the principle that in order to establish my purpose, I must first understand the meaning of life itself.
Goals are necessary in order to be productive and progress in a career. There are two types of goals, which are short term career goals and long term career goals. Adherence to these goals will enable one to live a productive life. Success in achieving short term …show more content…

This ultimately leads me to believe that my purpose in life would be to follow in his ways, and to obey his rules. If you were to look at all the different religions and their different respected purposes of life, it would basically boil down to the fact that the world was created by a God, and their purpose of life was to serve that God. It is hard to carry out the Christian role in life, but I think that by accomplishing worldly goals, such as getting a Job/education, while serving Jesus is the way to go about
