New Year’s Resolutions are common throughout our ever changing world and have been for numerous years. Beginning with the barbarians, who were said to have been the first to make New Year’s Resolutions nearly 4000 years ago, and continuing throughout history. The main difference between our New year 's resolutions and the barbarians is the date. The only time the date changed was with Julius Caesar who established the beginning of the year beginning January 1, before him, the beginning of the year was in mid-march. Not only are these New Year Resolutions are important to us but also our nation. Meaning, everyone should make these goals and work to fulfill them. These resolutions, if followed through with, will improve our everyday lives. My goals to fulfill are first, I will save money. This is in hope of having success with Colleges, employment and people. A great GPA is needed for the purpose of improving my chances of getting my wishes. Unfortunately, A great GPA isn’t automatic so, I need to work. So far, I posses an A or an A- in all of my classes but it has been a struggle. Thankfully, I continue to show forth an aptitude to beat the grading system by pieces of a percent, my problem is that the struggle will only get more intense. Consequently, I feel myself slowly sinking below the understanding of classes, and I want to improve that. To do so I will increase my positivity towards school which in turn may decrease the urge to sleep and ignore. In addition, I will also try to be more attentive to anything that is supposed to or will increase my mental aptitude and knowledge. Similarly, school continues, mentally, to be getting increasingly uninteresting. With these intents, I believe, if I work tirelessly at a good attitude I will achieve an outstanding
