Classification of organic manure
Manure can be classified in to bulky organic manures and concentrated organic manures based on concentration of nutrients. The classification of organic manures is give below:-
Organic manure
.
Bulky organic manure (BOM) Bulky organic manure contains small percentage of nutrients and they are applied in large quantities. Some important bulky organic manure are:-
• Farm yard manure (FYM)
Farm yard manure is a mixture of cattle dung, urine, litter or bedding material, portion of fodder not consumed by cattle and other domestic wastages like ashes etc. collected and dumped into a pit or heap in the corner of the back yard.
FYM refers to the decomposed mixture of dung and urine of farm animals along with

• They increase the availability of nutrients.
• They help to control several soil born diseases.
• It helps to maintain long term soil fertility.
Concentrated organic manure (COM)
Concentrated organic manures have higher percentage of major plant nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium as compare to bulky organic manure. These are also known as organic nitrogen fertilizers. These are made from materials of animals and plant origin.

• Oil cake
After oil extracted from oil seeds, the remaining solid portion is dried as cake which can be used as manure . the oil cakes are two types:-
1. Edible oil cake which can be safely fed to livestock ;eg. Groundnut oil cake, coconut oil cake.
2. Non edible oil cake which are not fir for feeding livestock ;e.g. castor oil cake , neem oil cake , mahua oil cake.
Both edible or non edible oil cakes can be used as a manure. Jatropha oil cake pongamia oil cake cotton seed oil cake

In many ways, Farm City is a political book that touches areas that the city population didn’t know existed. When we imagine a farm we think large vast area with perfect sunny weather and huge sum of produce. What we learn from this book is that we can be a farmer with just planting a pot of vegetation by the windowsill or keeping a pet rabbit with intent to kill it and consume it. I spontaneously went to the flee market one Sunday and came across some rabbits. I currently am raising a bunny in my apartment that I adore and although I might not kill it myself, I heard rabbit’s meat is delicious.
Now we can see that the more land the farmers use with heavy mechanisms like tractors, the more soil and dirt is exposed. With the grass gone and dirt open, wind and dust will carry it up in the air and collect more and more when time goes
Animal waste runoffs or feedlots are farms that specialize in cattle or hogs. These animals are stayed in a very small area of land and they are raised on hormones and grains that make them big and fat for slaughter. Feedlots help provide a lot of protein in America but feedlots contain a lot of the animals poop and other bad substances that can pollute the air and the water with their runoff. Pros of having feedlots is that they produce meat that satisfies U.S. consumers, they’re efficient, and cheap. Cons of having feedlots is that manure contains nitrogen and phosphorus; if not managed properly, they can pollute the nearby lakes, streams, rivers, or oceans, and antibiotic use increases genetic resistance to bacteria in the human body.
The number of crops that were grown increased each month, yet farmers still struggled. Prices for crops continued to raise and people could no not afford to buy food. After a season of crops is grown, it is important to give the soil time to rest and have the nutrients restored. However, because farmers needed to grow so many crops to earn the little money they did, there was not time to give the land a break. Each year the soil grew worse.
Examples include dairy farming, raising beef cattle, and raising sheep for wool. In contrast, arable farming concentrates on crops rather than livestock. Finally, Mixed farming incorporates livestock and crops on a single farm. Some mixed farmers grow crops purely as fodder for their livestock; some crop farmers grow fodder and sell it to pastoral farmers. Pastoral farmers are also known as graziers and in some cases pastoralists.
In her personal narrative, Bonnie Jo Campbell describes to her readers the time she sold manure the summer after school let out. At first, Campbell was embarrassed to deliver manure; however, over time, she began to realize selling manure was beneficial for both her and the customer, and quite fulfilling as well. Campbell (1996) states, “Within about a week, however, I began to see the absurdity of our situation as liberating” (p. 30). She begun to understand that selling manure was an honest vocation as opposed to her first thoughts. Not only is manure delivering effectual, but also are the other countless overlooked jobs often seen as low class citizen jobs.
They are “Organic farming [which] focuses on the inputs used (pesticides, herbicides, etc.) and sustainable farming [which] focuses on the physical treatment of the ground” (Tillable 2021). At TKO farm they practice sustainable farming, as it is “Completely self-sustaining—chickens feed off leftover veggies, and in turn, their eggshells go back into the soil as a source of calcium carbonate—they don't use any herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, or petroleum-based fertilizer” (Ervin-Springs 2022). Sustainable farming is a way to honor and preserve the land for future generations. It focuses on soil health, managing erosion, and incorporating natural materials into the farming process. Their goal is to teach future generations about how to sustainably farm, and the importance of preserving the

The chickens help clean up the cows waste and even fertilize the land with their own droppings. This way the soil is better than it was before and no chemicals were needed. “Animals on organic and ‘free range’ farms often endure the same cruel mutilations-such as debeaking, dehorning, and castration without painkillers- as animals on conventional factory farms… These animals are typically shipped on trucks through all weather extremes- usually without food, water, or rest-to the same slaughterhouses used by factory farms.
Introduction: Genetically modified organisms can be defined as organisms in which the DNA has been changed in a way that does not occur naturally by any reproduction procedure. The enviropig is just one of many organisms that they did experiments on to modify it to have specific (needed) outcomes. The reason for genetic modification is to be able to change a product or organism so that it deliver desirable traits. The enviropig was created to solve the problem of pigs not being able to absorb enough phosphorous from their diet, which then in its turn contributes to the larger factor of pollution.
This type of organic food that is popular among many people is produced on organic farms. Farms belonging to this group foster recycling, speak for promotion of ecological balance concept and represent the direction of conserving environment. The process of growing organic food implies refusal from use of synthetic pesticides as well as other chemical stuff that increases fertility. According to the Food Marketing Institute, “Organic livestock must have access to the outdoors and be given no antibiotics or growth hormones” (Natural And Organic Foods).
I. We consume 8,500mg of salt per day, almost all from processed food. This is only one of the many reasons people have poor nutrition. Humans tend to not know the difference between processed and real foods causing the nutrition levels in our society to drop at an alarming rate. For years this problem has been a big factor to obesity and illness. Real food is single ingredient with no chemicals even if they’re ground and put into a jar.
Organic Food. It is the thing we’ve been drinking eating for decades but when does it stop. It might. If we don’t take our asses and eat some organic food we could be looking at a foodless future. And i understand that it’s not cheap.
They also help water move from the soil to the atmosphere through a process called transpiration. Plants not only supply us with food, but with other provisions such as wood products, fibers, oils, resins, coal, and petroleum. They also provide us with raw material needed to make shelter, clothing, medicines, and fuels. It’s also a fact that one quarter of the medicines we use are derived from plants; and that 4 out of 5 people in this world rely on plants for primary health care. Importance of Plants Plants are everywhere.
