In a desperate attempt for peace, as ironic as it may be, we create chaos, resulting in the death of millions at a time. Firearms burn bright in the dim sun, exposing the vibrancy of blood-stained suits. As the bullets penetrate skin, the life of another innocent individual has already been lost. Families never to hear a last, “I love you” before their loved one tragically passes in a loud, chaotic mess. They run towards the danger, knowing exactly what result the soldiers might have gotten in the gamble of life or death.
War was always known to improve society, but it has actually been a burden in the world that has caused so much damage. I believe that the people should have a world without war so their can be more money for the people, and the death rate will decrease. This world should be War-Free because war causes violence and it is arbitrary. Even though, the novel, All Quiet On The Western Front, by Erich Maria Remarque, illustrates events from World War I, it still proves that war can be a dangerous place that leads to negative effects. War is a menacing place which causes so much violence that it has to be removed.
Persuasive Speech Ah Australia. The land of opportunity. The land of freedom and equality. The land of wealth and good health. The lucky country.
Anna Mow once said, “’Peace is an attitude, the kind that doesn’t create dissension. We create hostility when we turn away from what the other person is saying instead of listening to understand. The primary task is to perceive the perspective of those who differ with us’” (Long 146). Anna Mow covers a great point.
I personally think that the world will end itself after even my time, resources will be depleted and we will have to find a substitute of that resource. But other than that the world won’t fall and it will live on but were already teetering on the edge. In the future I see danger everywhere. Isis is a big threat but in the future it’ll be squashed by the U.N. but its other military group
De-Extinction, a interesting topic that most people don’t have an opinion on. De-extinction is a process which uses the DNA of extinct animals and use a surrogate mother and father to bring back an extinct animal. Scientists are working on ways to bring back animals such as wooly mammoths and maybe even dinosaurs. This is a very hopeful topic from different points of view, and a very scary topic from others. Also, some scientists think it’s impossible for certain animals and not for others.
Should you ask someone else what’s best for you? Sexually active teenagers are considered to be being responsible when they use condoms, so why can’t a sexually active female decide when birth control is necessary for her? Having control over your body is a necessary freedom and lesson into adulthood. The age a female should have control over her body is when she begins to use it, then there would be no need to ask her parents permission for birth control. Females 16 years old and up are responsible enough to go into a doctor’s office and say “I would like to be put on birth control” without parents consent.
As talked about before, these two nations are facing a terrifyingly large population increase within the next 10 years, with growth rates reaching almost 2%. Also discussed in the past paragraph, there are many concerns that can be brought up about the problems this increase in population will bring. Scarcity of resources being the biggest concern, I believe Esther Boserup, a famous Polish economist, best exemplifies this issue. Her view on the matter is the complete opposite of Malthus’ theory. Boserup believed that, no matter the population increase, humans, being the innovative beings that they are, will find, if not invent, a new way of obtaining sufficient resources.
As time passes, we will continue to be introduced to new creations which will be far more superior than what we have at the moment. In the meantime, we will have machines and robots who are not ‘perfect’ yet. For an example, in Isaac Asimov’s Reason, Cutie’s cognitive development is not complete yet. “The question that immediately arose was! Just what is the cause of my existence?
1. 90-100 million tons are killed and wiped off the planet each year. Consisting of some of the most beautiful creatures on the planet. Fish are a primary food source to 3.5 billion people worldwide and the depletion of the species is leaving millions of people hungry. Over fishing is a huge problem that needs to be stopped.
Have you ever thought about which animals are near extinction or endangerment ? Have you looked them up? How many are left? Which ones have been removed? Do you know why they are going endangered?
Hunger in America “The war against hunger is truly mankind’s war of liberation.”-John F. Kennedy. This war against hunger can be found in all corners of the globe. The United States of America stands by as one of the strongest proprietors of feeding the hungry of the world, yet millions of Americans are going hungry each day.
This is going to be a massive social challenge. There will be fewer and fewer jobs that a robot cannot do better [than a human]. These are not things that I wish will happen. These are simply things that I think probably will happen.” — Elon Musk “You cross the threshold of job-replacement of certain activities all sort of at once. So, you know, warehouse work, driving, room cleanup, there’s quite a few things that are meaningful job categories that, certainly in the next 20 years [will go away].”
Introduction Overpopulation is the excessive population of an area to the point of overcrowding and it is an undesirable condition in every country where the number of existing human population rises to an extent exceeding the carrying capacity of ecological setting. Overpopulation can be result from an increase in births, an increase in immigration, a decline in mortality rates and other factors that may cause overpopulated environment. Therefore, this can cause influence as lack of the available essential materials for survival like water, shelter, social amenities and other because of the numbers of people might be more than the materials for survival. In such condition, this regularly contributes to environmental deterioration, worsening
