Richland College is the home of more than 20,000 college credit students as well as faculty members. During the active college time, many students come and go around. Each student and faculty members have their own vehicle and that need a lot of area for the parking. Today we have many parking lots like A, B, X, Z and so on that occupies hundreds of parking area for the vehicles that help easier to the student to get the area for their own vehicle. If we argue that there should be the parking garage at the Richland college, it is just the waste of time and money as well as more chance to be the car theft. So, I argue with my statement that the Richland college should not have a parking garage.
Parking garages are more dangerous from a security

There should me the use of highest quality ratings of materials and good technique in making parking garage to ensure stability, a long lasting and safety to the students and their cars that can cost more than eight million dollars (FIXR data). This is really a big money for community colleges to build. Also, security patrols are needed in a parking garage, so the running cost becomes higher as well as the parking garage needs to be inspected often. Lights need to be run all day long because of darkness even in the daytime. Elevators and associated maintenance of those are very costly. Instead of building the garage, we can improve our recent parking lot with more security with a little amount of money. There will also become the more chances of having accidents in parking garages with all the sharp corners and blind spots. Another argument against a parking garage is that there will be more traffic inside the building and only one or two ways to get the exit. If any one vehicle does not start on the middle way to the exit, then there will be the huge traffic following by the other …show more content…
If one cannot find on X-parking lot, then he can go search on other parking lots. One thing that I like about our college parking is that we have a waiting park spot for friends or families. The best thing about today’s college parking system is that there is a less chance of having crimes like car theft and robbery because of open place. If something is happening wrong or someone who hit other’s car can easily be caught by another student. There is no traffic in the open parking lot because we got multiple exits and entrance and there is no any chance of getting an accident. Even if there will be any event or game at college, there are parking spots available for guest too. Another best thing that I like about college parking is that student can access their classroom easily. For example, if I have one class at Thunder duck Hall, I can park my car in parking lot-A or nearby so that helps me to get to my class
1. Why did you choose to attend Central Lakes College? I chose Central Lakes College for many reasons. First, Central Lakes College is affordable compared to other universities. Central Lakes College costs about $8000 dollars annually, compared to other universities (major and private) which can range from $23,000-$50,000.
PATS provides handicap parking minimally as a certain percentage of the total parking in lots. The $100 fee is to park on campus for students, whether they have a handicap pass or not does not make a difference for registering a car to park on campus. Once a patron registered his vehicle for a handicap permit, handicap parking is available to him. However, if the patron do not register the vehicle,
Do I need three dinning hall on campus? Colleges choose these to be indicator of a quality college instead of teaching, scholarship, and academics. The reason for this it makes it harder of colleges to be compared to each other. Kevin Carey states this has diminished the education found in college. However, I disagree that college education is being
“There are 1500 other students filling the hallways and stairwells of a four story building.” Then you have to get out of the school parking lot, but the parking lot is encircled by the school bus loop, so you can’t get your car out until the buses fill up and leave. Which, Adnan wrote, “took about ten to fifteen minutes.” The piece of evidence I found supports my claim because it clearly states that if you were to get out of class, halls
For example, Warhawk Academy offers all of its members the un-restricted access to park anywhere on campus. This exclusive benefits is to promote promptness to class and to relieve stress about parking violations. Other organizations will talk about the unfairness and the thoughts of others about the situation. Another negative comment one might hear about Warhawk Academy is that the organization is very competitive and selective; however, this fact is only partially true. Competition only occurs when one reaches the junior year of college because the availability decreases as the number of years increase, since Warhawk Academy has exclusive features such as; discounts on books, un-restricted parking, and early access to technology.
California Handicap Parking Regulations Differ From Those in Other States Most property owners in this country agree with the regulations set forth in the Americans With Disability Act or ADA of 1990, as the regulations provide fair, safe and identifiable entrance and exit from buildings and the rooms inside the structures, and their parking lots to people who suffer with some type of disability. Not all properties comply with these rules in the proper manner as of this date, though, and nowhere is this fact more evident than in California. In this state, a citizen has the right to sue the public establishments that do not provide the right signage for California Handicap Parking or CA Handicap Parking along with other ADA signs. 2008 Changes
But guns are noxious in an atmosphere where people will experiment with risky methods of protest. To that extent, guns on campus may well kill such protest. Guns may provide a basic kind of bodily and personal safety. This is the recurring argument put forth by campus carry proponents. This argument is dubious at best.
The article stated that USI is the only public four-year university in Indiana that does not have armed officers on campus (USI Shield par 3). Frequently teachers keep their classroom doors open but normally they should be closed at all times and locked. It’s a lot safer for teachers and professors to keep their door locked and closed at all times during the day and while classes are in session. The faculty at USI had a meeting and talked about all these things and what they could do to improve some
Guns should be allowed on college campuses because they provide better safety for students, the second amendment, and when requirements for carrying a weapon are in
Even one parking garage just for college students would be very beneficial. Especially for Point Park students since they are competing for a parking space with people who work in the city, teachers, etc. There are a couple parking garages but they are fair game for anyone to use. Once they are filled up you are going to be looking for awhile which in turn will make you late for a class. The building on 500 Liberty Avenue is for sale for 1,600,000 (LoopNet).
On average, there are 15.2 criminal offenses per 10,000 students on campus each year (“Maryville University of St. Louis Crime”). Other cons include the constant hustle and bustle of the city. There is always a high amount of traffic in big cities such as St. Louis. Traffic can make it difficult to commute around the city very quickly. This
There are many reasons for this, one being the small spaces allotted to park in. It’s a lot more fun when the spaces are painted straight instead of slanted. The parking blocks were installed for pure enjoyment. The students have figured out how to drive over them and they realized how fun it is. It is much easier to just drive through the two spaces rather than driving around the row.
The principal at Riverwood High School recently proposes that all school bus drivers shut off their bus engines while waiting for students to board buses in the school parking lot or whenever buses are parked for several minutes. As the bus drivers turn on the engine, whether while waiting for the students or delivering students from home to school and vice versa, several gasses are produced such as carbon dioxide (CO2) that are emitted from the vehicle into the atmosphere. As CO2 in the atmosphere increases, more heat is trap in the atmosphere which contribute to the climate change. In addition, carbon monoxide (CO) have contributed into polluting the atmosphere while the bus are idling. CO are a poisonous gas that are odorless and colorless.
Open campus at lunch time is a huge advantage for high school students, and is a great punishment as well. The student's responsibility to come back to school on time will have consequences if students don't follow it. This will help them realize that the word is run by rules and if people don't follow them, there will always have consequences. Students will be gaining responsibility for collage and the real world after that. To succeed in life people need independence, maturity, and responsibility.
They have technology that prevents people that don 't have access to the building to go in. There is a lot of apartment complex but there are fewer vehicles there. It mostly can be because there are
