My life is not perfect; however, nobody has a perfect life. I was born in Minnesota but lived in Iowa for four years until my family moved to Minnesota. At the time, my parents worked at a facility where troubled juveniles would live and turn their lives around. After the business started taking a turn for the worst, my parents took on new jobs. My mom now works as a director at a drug and alcohol center for women, and my dad is an executive at a company that makes drug tests. They both do very well financially, but they put much work in to get where they are today. Due to my parents being able to financially afford a great lifestyle for me, I had the chance of taking part in numerous activities during high school. Due to this, they are the most influential people in my life. They have taught me that I can get through tough situations, and they showed me that if something does not go in my favor, it might be for a good reason in the end. I love that they will follow me wherever I go even if they do not agree originally; they trust me and will always have my back. I have never met someone who has worked so hard to benefit others as much as it would benefit themselves. They would do anything for our family and I am proud to have them as my parents. Without them, I would not be who I am today. Although I am unsure what the future holds for me, I am excited to see what comes. At the moment, I am planning on minoring in sign language in spite of being undecided on a major. I would also like to travel the world when I am older as well as receive my scuba certification just for the fun of it. Because I am bodily-kinesthetic intelligence and have the skill of picking things up quickly, I am hoping sign language will come to me easier than for many
