Discovering the meaning of friendship or finding out the order of one’s priorities can appear as unimportant tasks, but these activities bring fulfillment to people of all kinds. For example, Janie was extremely naïve when it came to concepts regarding love. She believed that marriage would bring her love eventually. She heard this from her grandmother, but was soon proven wrong as shown by the quote, “She knew now that marriage did not make love.” (Hurston 29). The latter quote is clear evidence that people should not leave it to others to inform them of how certain concepts in life work.
If they had been civil beings and sorted out their problems, Romeo and Juliet could have been married without the sneaking around and be happy with the support of their families. Juliet knew her father’s rule about marriage, and now that Lord Capulet had found a young man for Juliet to marry there was no way out but to lie. Her father had threatened, "Get thee to church a Thursday or never look me in the face" (III. V. 161). So if Juliet did have her heart set on spending her love with Romeo, the idea of faking death seemed very logical.

Lydia then asks again “But I thought that’s why we bought this house so that we wouldn’t have to do anything” (6). This demonstrates that sometimes taking the easier way out of a certain lifestyle or situation, only makes the situation at hand even worse. In this case, the easier way out for the parents is “buying happiness” which emotionally is not possible to a certain extent. This relates to the author’s idea because the parents reap what they sow, as for “buying their happiness” leads them to their death, meaning they pay for their actions in regard to buying this house. Secondly, the parents think that
However, in chapter 7, during the confrontation, Daisy quickly rethinks her decisions and states, ‘I did love him once – but I loved you too’. As Gatsby hopes and expectations of them being together breaks the audience starts to comprehend that Daisy contradicting statements is purely because she is afraid to leave Tom. Tom came from a wealthy family and was highly respected in society. Daisy knew that life with him would be luxiourous and entirely satisfactory in terms of respect and wealth. In addition, the author is trying to convey to the audience that Daisy is too secure in her marriage with Tom to even consider leaving it.
Both sets of families will have their own ideas and agenda when it comes to which relatives should be included. Then you have to work out which friends you want there for your special day plus you have to include their partners, whether you like them or not. After all of that you will have the workplace politics to manoeuvre through; if you invite one colleague you may offend another one. Before you know it you will be cracking under the strain of trying to please everyone and offend no-one. A wedding in Vegas, particularly a small one with just immediate family, rules out anyone feeling excluded if they’re not invited.
"Kane I think you ought to go while there's still time. It's better for you and better for us" (Forman 315). When Kane went to the church asking for help from everybody nobody wanted to help him. They all wanted him to leave when earlier that day when he was getting married and everyone was celebrating, Kane realizes that they really were just getting ready for him to turn in his tin star. Rainsford also had no one to count on.
Stop and think is what everyone in the modern life should do because life is long, so we should take our time and think through what we are doing. Many say “ you only live once,” and use it as a valid reason to make decisions without thinking, or do foolish actions. Some believe that you should take it slow and thoroughly think out your decision. To support our opinion we should use examples from modern life and Romeo and Juliet. Acting fast in Romeo and Juliet is acceptable because their lives are short, and if they think too hard it might take them a while, and they will accomplish nothing in their lives.
Gatsby 's chances of winning over Daisy come to an end once the summer ends and he does not accept the fact that she is going to be moving away. To enhance his chances, Gatsby tries to go back in time, which he only understands. Emerson believes one 's memory will not be able to uphold all recent enjoyments and there is a reason we live in the present. To feel better about himself, Gatsby is known for his magnificent parties. Everyone who attends his parties knows of Gatsby and that is what Gatsby cares about.
Daisy choose not to go with gatsby for variceal reasons, but sometimes you have to realize that everyone don 't get their happy ever after fairy tale. She has to think a bit about her daughter and the big change for her new life. They both had an obstacle in front of them stopping them from their happiness his name is Tom Buchanan. Money can also be a big impact on those that want a fancy lifestyle ,some they just want the money so they live like a unhappy married couple or a family with many problems. The only thing gatsby want was daisy to himself but according to daisy “he asks for too much”. Overthinking everything that Daisy and Gatsby went through when they were young was just a one time thing to me. For them they felt like they were meant to be together forever, but they just had mixed emotions about How they really felt about one another.
