Plastic should be banned Imagine you walk out of your house and you hear a CRACK! You just stepped on a piece of plastic, plastic is already being littered enough. Imagine like 30 years into the future, there would probably be a lot more plastic and trash outside. Three reason why plastic should be banned is first, plastic is expensive, second plastic can cause health problems, and third, pollution, pollution is horrible for the environment. The first reason why plastic should be banned is, plastic is very expensive for example plastic is made from oil, oil is very expensive and you could get rich of of oil. Pollution has a huge effect on the environment. For example pollution is so bad that there is a new “continent” in the pacific ocean that is called the pacific vortex. The pacific vortex is made up of trash and plastic. In the article “Is bottled water really better?” says that “There is 60x more plastic in the ocean than there is plankton.” That is horrible because if somebody goes to the ocean for a drink of water or something like that there is a chance that they will drink up some microplastics. Also pollution has killed many different animals for example from the article “It's a plastic world” says that “Researchers examined a sperm whale's stomach and they found 30 square meters of tarpaulin, a four meter long hose, a nine meter long plastic rope, and two flower pots.” All of that plastic and trash is what ended up killing the sperm whale. That is because plastic is not biodegradable. This shows that plastic never rots.
