Police brutality should be stopped
Police Brutality should not be an issue that we face in this world. Many people are killed or beaten because of their racial profile. Their families are also harmed because someone in their family is being taken away. People are falsely accused which most of the time turns out to be a very dangerous scenario. Police brutality shouldn't be a thing but ways that can help reduce it are to increase accountability for police violence through financial strategies, removal of military force, and more restrictive laws governing use of force.
Police departments should pay any lawsuits with their own budget. According to Kline, “suspend the use of paid leave when

Furthermore a 2017 study confirmed that “receiving more military equipment makes police departments more likely to use it”(Mark and Guenot par28). Confirming the statement is true, it can be a solution to reducing police brutality by taking away such equipment and only using it for extreme measures. These provides and supports giving dangerous equipment can cause more police brutality. Which is why they should only use it for extreme measures to insure if they did they wouldn’t have an excuse for they did not use it for extreme measures but for a quick …show more content…
According to the University of Texas, “most Texas voters have a favorable opinion of police, feel safe where they live and don’t think police budgets should be cut”(Ramsey par1). If the police budgets don't get cut by their wrong doing then they will just continue doing it since they aren't losing anything. They don’t think it's a problem because it’s not happening to them, they don’t experience the hurt and pain people go through because of police brutality. Also, people don’t think it’s a problem because they refuse to acknowledge it.
In conclusion, removing military equipment, more restrictive laws and finally holding accountability through financial strategies can be some ways to reduce police brutality. These are ideas to help people know what to do. Here are some other ideas to the solution. Some other ways can be the use of more non-police organizations to respond to emergency calls, and reduce the power of police unions. With this people will have some ideas on how to reduce the
In a viewpoint by Nicole Flatow titled “History Indicates Varied Results in Improving Police Brutality in America,” She believes that there has been little reforms regarding police brutality. Nicole argues for years, America has barely made any effort on improving the use of force by police officers. For example, victims such as Rodney King and Amadou Diallo, led to some reforms, but did not solve the violence of police brutality. With the beating of Rodney King that was captured on camera, it sparked massive outrage that led to a riot when the police officers received no charges. Because of the riots, it created a momentum for a reform of the police.
The best way to stop police brutality is to stop the cops. Nobody should be harassed or threatened by police because, they're in a bad mood or going through things. We have the great cops and awful cops, around a small amount of those cops still go manhandling their power and abuse their authority. If observers weren't filming cops when they are using excessive force, numerous cases wouldn't be what they are
From the countless cases in which excessive force was used such as Michael Brown’s, Eric Garner’s, and Sandra Bland’s, the public has found police brutality to be an increasing problem. There have been plenty of additional situations in which cases have received a lot of media coverage, informing the public of the excessive force some police officers enforce. c. What are people doing to get their voice heard? Breathless accounts of police brutality have recently been made and the public has found it is time to have their voice heard.
Police Brutality and the Responsibility of Reform “They’re here to assassinate us . . . They’re here to kill us . . . Murderers” (Pitts 1). Strutting with their illuminating, shining gold badges, the foreigners assume the unchartered territory with cold, dehumanizing stares. Under the guise as promoters of welfare, security, and safety, the force that is supposedly sent to enforce peace in the region lay their hands on their death scythes, ready to usher the souls of the oppressed into the afterlife (“Huey Newton: Interview…” 1).
The issue has transcended just being a matter of blacks versus law enforcement; it is now an issue of the safety of all American lives versus the preservation of the justice system. Police brutality is the result of the growing racial tensions and propaganda by the American media. Police brutality is an issue no one
The police have a dreadful reputation, especially among minorities, yet officers are doing little to improve public relations. The solution to problem of police brutality must begin with the officers themselves. Law enforcement must make an effort to show that they trying to protect the community

Police Brutality in the United States of America Police brutality has been a problem in the United States of America for a long time. The regulations that cops should abide by hasn’t changed, but the actions of officers have. Police officers have a different view of the rules that they should follow. The power that police have has gone to their heads, and they take advantage of the power. Police are needed in America because of how society is, but there are things that the police do that shows a complete misuse of their power.
In the first systematic study of police brutality in 1971, it was found that the overall rate of unwarranted force to be low: about 1% of all encounters with citizens. An example where brutality was necessary is when police officers have guns being aimed at them or if the person is going to harm another victim. When situations like this happen the media most of the time does not show the full story. Our view of police brutality is affected by the media in the sense that nowadays, when something happens, people pull out their phones and all they see is the “bad” part of what’s going on. The reason the media does this is to get the attention of the people.
Police brutality is one of the most serious and divisive human rights violations in the United States. The excessive use of force by police officers persists because of overwhelming barriers to accountability. This fact makes it possible for officers who commit human rights violations to escape due punishment and often to repeat their offenses. In recent years, the United States has seen countless acts of police brutality, such as the most recent case study captured on video in a high school classroom.
Police brutality has been a controversial and divisive issue in the United States for decades, sparking intense debate and calls for reform. Police brutality is “the use of excessive force by police on citizens when such force is unnecessary. Unjust shootings, severe beatings, intimidation, verbal abuse, and psychological as well as physical coercion are some of its most common forms.” From the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor to the ongoing protests and activism, the issue of police brutality has dominated headlines and sparked widespread outrage. The urgency of these issues demands that we take a closer look at the root causes of police brutality and seek for possible solutions to bring about meaningful change.
Is police brutality really an issue? Are there solutions? The answer to both questions is yes, although some may disagree with the methods. Groups which are treated as insignificant
Police brutality will be an issue until a solution is created. Many individuals are victims of this form of assault on daily basis. The liberties held by law enforcement are challenged each time they perform their duties. Police officers should abide by the same laws that each citizen is expected to abide by. Although police officers are granted with the right to determine laws as constitutional, civilians are sometimes treated in ways that are beyond unlawful.
Police brutality remains a common yet controversial topic around the world. Police brutality is “the use of excessive and/or unnecessary force by police when dealing with civilians” (thelawdictionary.org). It’s a topic that segregates communities and makes each other their enemy. Specifically, a white officer has been the enemy of the black community. Unfortunately, the tension between police and blacks grew over the past few decades.
Police Brutality is an ongoing problem and existent concern in the United States and should be resolved immediately. Law enforcement must function as an element that consists of organized and civilized officers. The presence of police brutality is becoming more of an issue as society grows. The problem posed by the illegal exercise of police power is an ongoing reality for individuals of a disfavored race, class, or sexual orientation. Police brutality must be stopped so that police do not forget who they are serving – not themselves, but the public.
