Charity is the voluntary giving of help; it means willing to help others. Helping others is a valuable, pure, and kind thing to do, and charities change the life of people in need every day. Even small amount of donation could help someone, it could save a life, put a smile on someone’s face and make a difference. Furthermore, donating has a major impact on us and on our society it can transform you into a more important part of the community, which will benefit our society. Donating is important but knowing to whom to donate is more important, as Aristotle claimed “To give away money is an easy matter in any man’s power. But to decide to whom to give it, and how large and when, and for what purpose and how, is neither in every man’s power nor an easy matter." …show more content…

GiveDirectly a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 by Paul Niehaus, Michael Faye, and Rohit Wancho, to help poor people in Kenya and recently it developed to Uganda. It is currently among GiveWell’s top recommended charities. GiveDirectly gives money to the poorest households in Kenya and Uganda. In Kenya there are many kids who spend days with no food, adults who have dreams and goals but do not have money to accomplish them. The population in Kenya is overgrowing; there are so many people and no enough food. “Kenya’s population has tripled over the past 30 years, leading to increasing pressure on natural resources, a widening income gap and rising poverty levels that erode gains in education, health, food security, employment and incomes.” …show more content…
