What is bullying? Bullying is hurting someone unreasonably or to cause embarrassment. School is supposed to be a place where students should feel safe and sound. Many students have difficulty to go to school every day due to bullying issues. Bullying is becoming a terrible problem in our society.
Sean Budomo Mrs. Shippen Language Arts The current education system in the United States has many problems and is extremely flawed. The education system 's faults include the lack of quality teachers in many schools that do not care and do not get paid back the amount of effort they put in, government support in the wrong areas, uses of standardized testing, and the lack of parent involvement which creates negative student behaviors and attitudes in a child 's school life are some problems of US education. Common core is a problem, it has created a national defective standard curriculum and only slightly raised the rank of the United States in education compared to other countries, but still could not fix other problems from the
In conclusion, social promotion ultimately hurts students far more than it helps. Social promotion creates perpetual cycles of unpreparedness for students as they continue to fall behind in classes. The better solution for struggling students is extra help and counseling. If a student struggles in a particular subject to the point of failure, they should be given extra help and more broken down explanations of the concepts. Students should not be passed into harder classes when they couldn’t manage the previous
This may seem fine, but as said above, this causes curriculum gaps between students which can be harmful as it removes stress relieving classes from children’s schedules. State tests, although is not the only factor, evaluates school districts. Other factors include graduation and attendance. Even though it is not the only factor, it is one of them, which may cause extra pressure and stress on both students and teachers. The pressure on all students, regardless of ability, to reach a certain level, can be damaging, especially because of many students, as high as 60% in some states, failed to reach this
It is in the hands of our current school administrators, teachers, and lastly students, to enact real change in hopes of achieving true racial equality. Racism and classism management in schools today What if you were not offered the same opportunities based merely off of the color of your skin? What if your peers thought lesser of you because of how much your parents made? It may seem like something of the past, but these manifestations of racism and classism continue to lurk among the depths of schools across the globe. These forms of discrimination are still common within school systems, and continue to affect the lives of many students(Expereiences of racism).
The accountability of the scores is meant to encourage teachers to adopt better and more effective methods of teaching, as well as to urge students to work harder. However the effects are more detrimental. Because of testing, students are more likely to be frustrated and discouraged at having to move so fast to cover all the ground needed. If a student is having a bad day or just is not a good test taker, all anyone can say is “tough luck.” The teachers will only focus on the select subjects tested on, and then only the select aspects they believe will be covered in the testing. Depending on how desperate a teacher is for good test scores, inappropriate preparations can be made before testing, sometimes even to the point of cheating.
I think we should change the way of testing because it causes stress to lots people. The way we test takes up time that could be used to learn something new. The first piece of evidence that I have, is that the tests cause stress to many people. The text stated, “Tests cause lots of stress and anxiety to people.” Some reasons are that parents believe that teachers have been “teaching to the test” throughout the years. It states that when teachers get stressed about the tests, they stress out the students.
Many of the school officials "enforce" the dress code policy a bit harsher to the female students than the male students, and that has caused a problem for both the students and parents. There has been twitter hashtags created, lawsuits, and influences that have made parents want to transfer their child to another school but none of those actions worked. Some parents would become more frustrated with principals and

Discussion Based on the different research sources that have been reviewed in this research, it is clear that incarceration of parents affects children directly.
Dress codes lock schools up like jail, and they don’t give students any freedom. Because of school dress codes, kids are revolting at this decision. People enforced dress codes so students couldn’t distract one another, as a result dress codes have impeded learning in many schools. Many people favor dress codes, yet they cost extra money, limit the student’s freedom, and they can be uncomfortable, which is why dress codes are unnecessary. In the first place, people with lower incomes may have trouble buying school uniforms. In the manual on school uniforms, it says, “ The cost of purchasing a school uniform may be a burden on some families.” It is unfair for people with low incomes to pay for extra clothes.
