3.1 INTRODUCTION
Power quality is “the concept of powering and grounding sensitive electronic equipment in a manner that is suitable to the operation of that equipment.” (As per IEEE standard 1100).
From the time when the electricity was discovered, the generation, distribution and use of electricity have evolved gradually. New and innovative resources to generate and use electricity added spark to the industrial revolution and from that time the scientists and engineers have contributed to its continuing development. Initially, electrical machines and devices consumed large amounts of electricity and yet performed well. The machines were designed which had their performance as the primary concern and cost as the secondary concern. But as

The major issue for the consumer is the reliability and quality of power supplied at the load centers as hundreds of generating stations and load centers are interconnected with each other. Generation of power in most of the developed countries is reliable but the power quality of supply side is not. A customer requires a continuous and un interrupted supply of energy in order to maintain the life and the quality of their equipments.
A power quality problem is any problem that is manifested in voltage or current leading to frequency deviations which results in the failure or disoperation of customer equipment. Power quality has serious implications on the consumer side equipments. Power system, especially the distribution system, has number of non-linear loads which drastically affect the quality of power supply. These loads may deform the supply waveform. Some system events also contribute power quality problems like capacitor switching, starting of motors and faults. The after effects of such quality problems results into large economic

• Transient voltages and currents.
• Harmonic content in the waveform for ac power.
• Continuity of service.
The electric utilities and the consumers are becoming more and more concerned about the end use of electrical power. Sensitive loads such as computers, PLC, variable speed drives etc. requires high quality supplies.
Innovation and automation of industries involved increasing use of microprocessors, computers and power electronic devices. The power electronic equipments also play a major role in increasing the power quality problem such as harmonics which are generated during faults. The electronic devices are very sensitive to disturbances are becoming intolerant to power quality problems such as voltage sags, swells and harmonics.

So long as your LG G3 device is not already rooted and is running stock firmware, you will be getting an official Android 6.0 Marshmallow notification arriving over the air in the coming days if not already. Once you accept that notification and update your G3 handset to the latest version or Android, you might be wanting to get root access so you can start customizing your smartphone once again. These are the guidelines to root LG G3 D855 on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Try updating to that same software version before following this guide for best results.
Introduction: The aim of this experiment was to see whether water, Powerade or orange juice contained more electrolytes. Electrolytes are responsible for controlling the total amount of water in the body, regulating blood volume and maintaining muscle and nerve function. A lack of these electrolytes can cause headaches, fatigue, confusion, hallucinations and muscle spasms. I found that water and distilled water were less conductive than the orange juice and Powerade and orange juice proved to be the most conductive.

In the poem titled “the great electrical revelotion” by ken Mitchell, I found this story in particular very interesting because, coming from a third world country, such practices are fairly normal. In the sense that when the access to -a life force such electricity is hindered or disconnected by the power authority or in some cases the TV cable is disconnected, individuals still find a solution to this issues my bypassing the normal connection and stealing free electricity or cable from the distribution tower. This passage by ken Mitchell, narrates the life of ken as a young boy leaving with his relatives in Montreal then travelling to moose jaw, this poem centers around the period of time where the Canadian economy was in a depression, and as with every depression there is a
The two factors that demonstrate that the traditional system may produce estimates that are different than that of the unit cost are high overheads and indirect cost
I am going to compare the voltage of the different energy drinks to the voltage of water to see whether there is a significant difference between the voltage of energy drinks and water. The energy drinks I will be using are Rockstar, Power Horse, USN Spike and Monster.
Electric cars or internal combustion engine cars; which one is better? Electric cars were in their prime back in the early 1900’s, but a sudden rise in petrol engine cars, alongside with battery technology issues killed electric cars by 1920. However, with new improvements in battery technology and power electronics, electric cars have resurfaced. I will compare these different technologies, and come to understand which one is better.
1. Electrician Do you have a circuit breaker that keeps tripping, a broken outlet or a damaged wiring? Electricity plays an important role in our lives.
Cars are the most important products in the modern lifestyle. Whether it’s going to work, school, the mall, or even your friend’s house, it’s likely that you will be using a car to get there. I’m sure everyone here has a car, and I’m also sure everyone here will be buying another car in the future. Whether you want a car that can fit a large amount of people, or a sports car that can go extremely fast, an electric car will almost always be the best option for you.
Based on our calculations in Appendix 1. at the first stage support costs were allocated to two existing departments, i.e. Machining and Assembly, based on direct labor hours. Therefore total amount of costs assigned to Machining department is $472.000,00 and to Assembly department is $248.000,00. At the second stage total costs from both departments were distributed to products (Regular and Deluxe). Referring to our calculations in Appendix 1.
An Analysis of Lincoln Electric Company’s Culture through Assessment of its Case Study After thorough investigation of the Lincoln Electric Company’s (LEC) Harvard Case Study, certain understanding and reflections may be made about the company’s culture from a multi-faceted perspectives such as the visual aspects of culture and its maintenance dynamics as observed in the textbook’s Chapter 8. ( Carpenter, Taylor, & Erdogan, 2009) Continuing Influence of Founders at Lincoln Electric It is easily evident from the case study that the diverse aspects of LEC’s operations --- from investors, employees, and customers to how the senior management conducts and approaches its business --- all reflect the philosophy, vision, and ideals of its founders:
Direct labor which is a human resource will be recalculated on the basis of sales of 3 million bikes. It may happen to produce 1 million products, they require 50000 employees but to produce 3 million products they require 200000 employees and to be on safer size, 10% extra labor will be recruited which will give a total of 220000 employees. Therefore it is clearly understood that the company can prepare their Labor Requirement budget directly from the sales budget. The same concept will apply to overhead and capital expenditures because overheads are directly proportional to the production and if the sales are high, product will automatically are high. Similarly quantity requirement will lead to the requirement of machines.
Once you replace the equipment you can get that money back in revenue. If the equipment is replaced then output can increase because of the increased efficiency. The new machinery will pay itself off. In the long-term, Garland Chocolates save on risks. They are not relying on another company by outsourcing.
Therefore on that basis, all products, including pumps would be generating substantial contribution to overhead and profits. Therefore, given the overhead allocation problems, Wilkerson’s best bet would be to adopt the variable costing method for various reasons, as follows: 1. This cost concept provides a better understanding of the effect of fixed costs on the net profits, due to the fact that total fixed cost for the period is shown on the income statement. 2.
II. Problems of the Case Study 1. Considering company’s budget is very limited, installation of the new technology might affect the financial position in the next year operation. 2.
