Your focus should be undivided: Most times, people think they get a lot of things done when they multitask. But the truth is, multitasking drags and slows you down. Since being productive is all about finishing the task at hand as fast as possible before going to the next one, then multitasking is not a good way forward when trying to be productive. In order to be more productive, you have to be in the flow and tap in the willingness of doing something naturally. But when you multitask, it splits your attention, thereby slowing down your creativity and breaking your flow. 7. First things first: You should always try to complete the most important tasks first before heading to the least important ones (prioritizing). According to Pareto rule, 80% of the work you do contributes to 20% of the result and vice versa. Hence, the first thing you should always try to get done when you start your day is to do 20% work and give 80% if the results. The concept is actually simple as thus; when you finish the most important tasks in the early time of your day, you will feel a great satisfaction, thereby pushing you to do more and achieving a lot since you still have the energy and the boost within
If you constantly focus your own time and energy into doing something, multiple things will come from that situation, giving you opportunity to accomplish more. Ultimately all these opportunities come from working hard and refusing to be inactive. Former President and also a founding father of our country, Thomas Jefferson once said, "Determine never to be idle... It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing."
Time management has been one of the most substantial hurdles of my scholastic and professional career. Many of us waste our time on things that are neither important nor necessary, instead of using that time for something of that is meaningful. To capitalize on the use of time management strategies and reach my Doctoral Business Administration (DBA) program goals. I will execute two specific time management strategies, for example, accessing and planning a weekly schedule while adjusting my daily schedule. Time management will help me maximize the use of my time and reach my ultimate DBA goals of completing each assignment.
4.1 “just do it”. I spend majority of my time just thinking about how I am going to get the assignment done. By the time I start the assignment it feels like I been working on it forever, when in reality I just started. When am given an assignment I need to work on it as soon as I find free time. “to eat an elephant, first cut it into same pieces”.
Resilience First Aid Kit-Reflection Resilience is defined as; the ability to adapt to stressful, or difficult situations. If you are resilient, you are able to adapt to situations which trouble you without major difficulties. The task was to “Create a Resilience First-Aid Kit”. My resilience first aid kit includes items that I believe will assist someone to overcome problems, stress or hard situations that may occur throughout their time.
By constantly being active a person can accomplish many tasks and possibly goals. Being industrious and productive leads to performing well in life. Life has a time limit and therefore one should not waste it by being idle or unproductive. Time is a constant, but personal productivity is not. One of Jefferson’s virtues describes being industrious in which he further explains that no time should be lost, a person should be well employed, and all unnecessary actions should be cut off.
I will need to be diligent in my courses to make sure I retain the information not only to pass the course but to lead a successful career. I will also need to prioritize efficiently to make sure I’ve completed my assignments before going to the movies and things less important than my education. One thing I will need to work on is staying focused and concentrating on one thing at a time. I have a bad habit of losing interest in things and trying to jump to the next thing. So it will be important for me to stay mindful of that as I further my education.
Multitasking is used in everyday life, people use multitasking without even knowing it. The fact of the matter is that multitasking has both advantages and disadvantages. In the essay “The Myth of Multitasking” by Christine Rosen, Rosen is able to reference various doctors, specialists and psychologists to support her claim that multitasking is dangerous not only while driving and working, but also for people's overall well-being. Which I agree with, the human mind should only focus on single though at time. Multitasking requires that we focus on multiple unrelated thoughts at the same time.
Overcome Procrastination and Get Motivated Procrastination in some form affects us all. It is present in everyone's life, so don't feel like you are the only one fighting this battle. The truth is, we all have things - tasks, chores, projects, decisions, or actions that we delay or put off. We all enjoy the comfort of doing what is fun and easy.

There are many different definitions of workplace culture. Charles Handy an Irish author/philosopher specialising in Organisational Behaviour and Management famously said that, “Culture is the way we do things around here,” but if someone was on the outside looking in how would you explain that to them. Would you have to be working there a long time yourself before you could see “how things work around here”. Because culture in an organisation is what makes it unique, it’s the personality, the attitudes, and the way we interact and relate to each other these are the things that attract the best and Brightest talent to a company. So, if an organisation has a “strong, positive, clearly defined and well communicated culture with strong core values” (Deloitte) that company is onto a winner.
Time management: Time management is a very crucial component if you are willing to have a productive lifestyle. To be honest, I have always had issues with managing my time efficiently. This problem had become a huge obstacle once I got into college. Thus, attending a lecture that focuses on time management helped me a lot with this problem by introducing me to different aspects related to time management: planning, SMART goals, and important/urgent matrix. Learning to make a specific plan for my daily tasks and make a to-do list to make my day as productive as possible is something very helpful which was advised to me by the instructor of this lecture Mr. Irfan.
