According to Nicole Smith, there are a number of negative factors that do contribute to the overall quality of life in the urban areas which is that there is a great deal of diversity and choices. In urban areas there are many more that people can make about the number of aspects in their daily lives for example; in urban areas one is able to get different types of food which could lead to better heath since there is a greater diversity of diet. Furthermore she says that urban areas enjoy the opportunity to take in any number of cultural or social events as they have a large or long list to choose from. In urban areas, residents do not have the best opportunity to choose from the range of employment options and can move to larger towns which get expensive while in the rural areas, people have the ability to connect with other people. Therefore urban people suffer most when looking for jobs than those in the rural areas because they can just begin selling their food crops where they can get some money than in the urban where there is no land for farming or growing crops.
According to the site www.artilemyriad.com, in the rural, one has the opportunity or benefit of land upon which to grow their own food which is much healthier because there may not be a large number of stores and restaurants to choose from which makes the rural people lucky. Although urban people have large numbers of social networks and networking opportunities, rural communities offer residents the ability to have long lasting and more personal relationships since they see the same people
