I want to be able to look back on those experiences and know that I may have inspired someone to help others in the same way that I did for them. I believe that I will be able to look at my experiences in high school and see that I made a difference in my
1.Why do you deserve this scholarship? Another step to advance in my education, another step to succeed in life, another step to an opening of endless opportunities brings me to the conclusion that obtaining a college degree is where I want to be for the next four years. Of Course like everyone else, I have only dreams and aspirations to live by but the slight difference between everyone else and I is the drive I have, the pure perseverance I retain, and the curiousity I wish to fulfill. That is why I deserve this scholarship. This scholarship can help me along the way to financially develop me into a potential future leader.
I believe this scholarship would grant me a real shot at a challenging and bountiful career and the ability to help others who have faced adversities and the community at whole. I am interested in gaining a PhD in psychology and taking several courses in languages and the arts so I can apply them to a career path while having a broadened and well rounded outlook on life. I hope to be able to study abroad if possible and do developmental work in a country that will dare me to evolve as a person. A deserving candidate for this scholarship, as I interpret it, has a passion for knowledge and is dedicating themselves to earning their degree and bettering the community. The goals I have held myself accountable for since a young age include going to college and earning my degree.Along the way I have worked to develop a dedicated, hard working
I would share with my country the knowledge that you have allowed me to obtain. My experience in the U.S will allow me to make the most out of this scholarship, I understand the countries learning system and therefore I wouldn’t have difficulty adapting. I wouldn’t face the obstacles of arriving to a new country and I know what it is like to live on your own and having your environment be changed. I wouldn’t fear being in a new place by myself. I know very well what I want for my future and I’m very passionate in what I do.
Campbell to volunteer in mentoring students . We did a training program in the summer we met up in school and discussed different ways to help students. We worked on questions they might ask and what’s the best answer to give them. We played games that would help them feel more comfortable and be able to express themselves. When we returned back to school we had a meeting to gather all the mentors and discuss our plan with meeting with our mentis.
I never had a choice in how to lead my life, until I got to the summer of my senior year of high school. During that time, I had to decide whether college was the right path for me to take. Being here for the past five months has shown me that this was the right choice. Recent high school graduates can decide whether college is right for them. Even if statistics prove repeatedly that they will be better off in life by going to college, there are reasons that high school graduates have that prevent them from pursuing a higher education.
Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to be successful in life. I have always wanted to be the better version of my parents and achieve many things in life. During my freshman year in High school, I knew I was going to major in business. I come from a household of five, my father, mother, two younger sisters, and myself. I am the first in my family to go to college and with that being said, I have always felt the pressure to be the best role model and example for my younger sisters.
People might not be able to receive scholarships or grants from colleges if they don’t apply for them. First of all, with a grant or scholarship the college gives high school students money, and they don’t have to give it back(Mooney pg 13). Scholarships are really helpful if people want to save money and some stress. Colleges often award their scholarships based on merit (Mooney pg 16). If people want scholarships they will have to behave and be worthy of it.
Intro My brother, being a ninth grader at the high school, is constantly reminded of the importance of college and his performance in high school. I want to start looking into colleges but i don’t know where to start. The thought of getting left behind in society because I didn’t look for a college is nerve racking, but I already knew some things. I knew that your performance in high school helps with your college, but that’s about it. I still had a lot to learn before I can decide on a college Some things I hoped to learn throughout this project is how I can get into a college with minimum student loan, what colleges I’m interested in, what colleges are looking for, is studying abroad better than staying in the states, and what classes I should take in college.
Also, meeting my graduation requirements I would think that any graduate would be ok with anything because they are ready to graduate and get out. These are my thoughts on why I think that. I’m not sure, but as being a senior I ready for school to get over. I thought that being a senior would be scary and that I don’t want to grow up. In a way I don’t want to leave because that’s when I enter the real world but I ready to be done.
