Current standards for quality, environment and occupational health and safety (ISO, 2008, 2004) have been made compatible with each other to enable organisations to align or integrate the various management systems in case they wish to do so. (A.L.C. Roelen, M.B. Klompstra, 2012)In case of aviation safety, the severity of the harm is described by International Civil Aviation Organization ( ICAO)’s definition of an accident as an occurrence resulting in fatalities, serious injuries or severe damage to the aircraft (ICAO, 2001). Using this definition, we can define aviation safety as the absence of an unacceptable accident probability, and safety performance can be described as the accident probability that is achieved in relation to the accident probability that is considered acceptable.
Drivers do not intend to kill pedestrians which is why it is called an accident, but if drivers followed the laws there would be less accidents. If drivers always slowed down, stopped, and waited for pedestrians, pedestrians would never have to worry about their safety while crossing a street. It is very important for our laws of driving to protect pedestrians and other drivers. Sometimes rules may be broken by someone and nothing happen,
2.2 Automobile safety Automobile safety may be considered as the design, construction, equipment and regulation of vehicles to minimize the probability and effects of road traffic accidents. At the beginning of the automobile industry, safety was not a design parameter, nevertheless, its influence has increased along years. An illustrative example about the difference between first cars and modern ones is reported in figure 2.5. As figure 2.5 shows, old cars did not have mechanisms or systems in order to avoid an accident or protect the occupants and attenuate the impact. This problem has been confronted by new design of cars and it has induced an increment of automobile safety.
Comparing and Analysing of Aviation Accidents Throughout the years of aviation accidents, investigators have been researching and analysing accident reports to study the cause of the accident to identify and increase the chances to find the lead for the accident and thereafter implement new safety rule and regulation by recommending correct actions to be taken. (Clinton V. Oster Jr., 2013) Research shows that the global aviation safety data involves analysis of safety data that needs taxonomy for the data set. Differences between the set of data can be risky due to similar analysis but base on different taxonomy can be confusing. An example will be if Boeing accidents reports had certain commercial aircraft used with 60,000 lb MTOW meaning this statistic will include most large aircraft statistics but not necessarily includes the safety aspect of other aviation system. This means that when looking for statistics, it is mandatory to know the correct taxonomy before used.
Safety is something that is kept on the top of the priority list and is the most important aspect of the designing phase. I automobile designing, the crash analysis defines the quality safety of the vehicle. Using different approaches including computer simulations, today the automobiles are safer and reliable. All this is only possible today with the advancement in computational power and the advancement in software development over the years. The foremost concern is the safety for the driver and the passengers.
Also, it lets us know that trains, unlike cars, can’t swerve away and have to stay on the train tracks. This means you should never try to cut off a train. Additionally, it is against the law to walk on a train track. It is trespassing to walk on a train track. Many times, it is hard to notice when a train is coming because it is hard to hear the sounds it makes.
The purpose is to analyze various algorithms studied in this survey in terms of efficiency, advantages and disadvantages and enhance the best suited algorithm for developing an efficient system that synchronizes emergency services for Accident Detection. Keywords— Accident detection behavior, synchronization, accelerometer, Global Positioning System (GPS), GSM, GPRS, Internet of Things (IoT). I. This research project is an evaluation of aviation-related accidents related to human factors. The student will denote knowledge and understanding of all 11 program outcomes including but not limited to quantitative reasoning, information literacy, critical thinking, aviation legislation and law, aeronautical science, aviation safety, and aviation management and operations. This research paper will explain human factors, more specifically human error and how it plays a very critical role in aviation-related accidents and more times than none considered the causal reason. The student will take a look at and ratiocinate the human factors as they apply to aviation accidents. The student will provide recommendations to implement, modify, or eradicate
INTELLIGENT SAFETY AND SECURITY SYSTEMS IN AUTOMOBILES Jones T1., Ruby Priscilla A2., Julie Ruth E3., Faculty 1, 2, 3 Department of Mathematics, Sarah Tucker College (Autonomous), Tirunelveli, TamilNadu, India ABSTRACT: This abstract aims at giving an overview of implementing safety and security services in vehicular systems of today and future development. In today's emerging world, technologies are booming at every place to nourish our humanity. There has been enormous advancement in automobile technologies over past and still to come. However accidents are still happening around us. Due to lack of traffic control facilities, violation of rules and carelessness while driving has led to increased fatal rates.
It can be considered as the most comprehensive and reliable single source on accidents that can be used for longitudinal exploration in GB. However, it is not a complete record of all injury accidents and resulting casualties, due to some accidents not being reported. In addition, there is evidence that some casualties that meet the definition of a serious injury are documented by the police as slight injuries. The severity of injury recorded in the dataset is liable to be misclassified due to the difficulties of assessment by non-experts at the scene of the accident. Therefore, similar to most data sources, careful exploration of the dataset is required before drawing conclusions from the data.
