The purpose of this research is to identify the customer’s perception toward public road transport at Kota Bharu in order to determine the use of public road transport among the citizen and to understand what 's role of public road transport in the Kota Bharu, Kelantan. There are different stations for buses travelling around Kelantan and long distance buses to other states. The state 's main bus terminal is in the centre of Kota Bahru. If you 're driving, there are good roads linking the main towns throughout the state of Kelantan. Public buses are operated by Company Kenderaan Melayu Kelantan (SKMK), and a network of local buses connects the capital with all towns in the state. Mostly public transport runs followed by a scheduled timetable with the most frequent services running to headway. Share taxis offer on-demand services in many parts of the world and some services will wait until the vehicle is partial full before its start to run. Public transport services can be profitable by use of pay-by-the-distance fares or cover by government subsidies in which flat rate fares are charged for each passenger. Services can be fully profitable through high ridership numbers and high fare box recovery ratios, or can be regulated and possibly subsidized from local or national tax revenue. Fully subsidized, zero-fare (free) services are operated in some towns and cities.

We choose Kota Bharu area for this research. It is because we wants to know the perception of customers towards road transportation in Kota Bharu. Customer’s perception is important in order to know their satisfaction levels towards the road transportation services in Kota Bharu. The main reason of this study is to identify the factors that influence customers’ perceptions towards road transportation in Kota Bharu.
