The sound of the alarm clock going off and the sound of the horses neighing is what most of us hear every morning. The rodeo life isn’t for everyone, some people don’t seem to realize how hard it is. Rodeo mornings are always crazy,we got so much to do in so little time. The beginning of a busy weekend consist of, getting up at the crack of dawn to get horses fed, and gathering up all the equipment/ tack and making sure we have everything we need because there is no time to turn around if we forgot something. Once we get our tack and everything loaded in the trailer it’s time to hook up the truck and trailer and make sure the tire pressure is good, and then it’s time to get the horses from the barn and wrap their legs and get them loaded in the trailer so we can get on the road. The joy of having a hauling partner, they are in charge of the radio and playing good music and helping with directions so that we don’t get lost. The bad thing about driving long distances is sometimes we have no idea where we are going. Sometimes not knowing where we are going and following directions for the internet we end up going down some crazy back roads where we don’t see a store or anything for a couple miles or so. Seeing all the trailers that are already there and trying to figure out where to park sometimes can be hectic. Sometimes the parking isn’t the greatest sometimes we have to park in the worst spots because of it being too crowded. After we get parked we go look at the arena and we see if it’s muddy, dry, and see there is any banners or things that might scare our horses. See how the alley way is so we know what we have to do when coming into the arena to make out run. After were done looking at the arena we go and get signed up. We grab our cards and fill them out with all of our information put what events were going to be doing and grab out numbers and hand the announcer our cards and our
Tȟatȟáŋka Íyotake, or Sitting Bull, the notable Hunkpapa Lakota Sioux holy man with audacity, was a Native American who endured the years of resistance to United States government policies. The result of this phenomenon was the overpowering conquer of United States army officer George A. Custer. This also included his 7th Calvary at Little Big Horn. During his strife for survival on the North American Great Plains, Sitting Bull was known to amalgamate with other tribes, such as the Sioux. From all of his indispensable moments and redundant contributions, Sitting Bull will emphatically be remembered today.

Yes, I would recommend the book, “Ghetto Cowboy” by G. Neri to a friend. I would recommend it to a friend because of it’s unique and emotional subject matter, which was inspired by a true event! What compels the story to be so impassioned is how Cole, the twelve-year old protagonist, is behaving and how harshly it’s effecting himself, school life, and his mother, who’s a single parent. At last, she’s had enough being torn up and conflicted because of his actions, then realized, if she lets him continue like this, he’ll end like the boys who drop out of school, get no job, and end up in prison, stated by the principal, causing her to blame herself for not being good enough of a parent. And so, immediately after his latest antic at school,
Rodeo has helped me grow up. Since third grade I went from going to rodeos with my family to chasing the white lines on my own. I have had numerous opportunities presented to me from rodeo such as being on tv for qualifying for Worlds, traveling all the way to New Mexico and Wyoming to compete, and being rodeo queen for Southern Indiana Junior Rodeo Association. My parents took care of my horses for me. They cleaned stalls, fed them day and night, and packed the trailer for each rodeo.
Who runs the events? “Individual teams host the events. Usually they rent out the nearest fairground so they have space for all the campers and hook ups needed. You can also tent camp which my team normally does. If it is storming we go to a dog friendly hotel because of Lucy’s storm anxiety.
AZUCUS Ranch is a ranch in Vicksburg, MS where I ride horses. I have been riding there for many years, ever since I could walk. There are other riders there that have been there as long as I have. There are also some riders that have just started riding there. When the riders get done riding, it is their duty to take care of their horse, meaning they have to untack their horse, wash them off, put them in either a pasture or a stall, then depending on where they put them, they must feed them.
In any association or business change is inevitable. Whether it be a good or bad, change is bound to happen. The sport of rodeo is no different, and it just so happens that a big change is happening this year. The Elite Rodeo Association has been formed and is causing a lot of controversy in the world of rodeo. The ERA’s goal is to make rodeo on the same caliber as other professional associations and increase its popularity.

Mud Hens can gain publicity in order to maintain and increase attendance by coming up with interesting new ways to bring in fans. For example, do some type of carnival before big games to get the fans excited. Also, they can give out coupons or discount tickets. The team can give one one on one training sessions with kids and adults. Promote more through commercials on TV, in magazines, on billboards etc.
One rodeo that brings people together is the Lehi Round Up Rodeo. It has been going since 1937. This year will mark 79 years for the Round Up. J.W. Harris says, "It's just down-to-earth rodeo." The Lehi Round Up “Has all of the good aspects of a big rodeo, and all of the good aspects of a smaller rodeo.”

Most people my age have a passion for playing sports, but my passion in life is a little different than most. I grew up living on a farm and being around cattle ever since I could walk has been apart of my life, which brought me to one of the reasons why I have a passion for showing cattle. People often wonder why I love showing cattle so much and what the point of it is, but there are so many reasons why I have grown the love for it. There is just something special about the feeling of your heart racing when you walk into the show ring or the handshake from the judge telling you that all your hard work has payed off. The life lessons, the memories, the friends, and the love my family
Around the dinner table and in many restaurants, beef is being consumed on a daily basis. Much of the consumption of meat is dependent on the supply and quality that the farmers in the beef industry supply. There are many different breeds of beef cows that are raised and bred with the purpose of providing meat for the consumer. Angus beef, one of the oldest breeds of beef cattle, has a unique history and it is primarily bred and raised for its tender marbleized meat.

They just pet him/her and tell themselves that the next run will go better. In the roping events, the steers or calves will sometimes will be shocked if they are not standing up right and they can’t get them up or if they don’t leave the chute good, but the hot shot is always the last resort and they never want to use it. In the roughstock events, the animals do not get shocked in the chute at all. Source D, “What is rodeo?” says, “Depending on the event, other equipment is designed strictly for the protection of an animal; i.e., skid boots for the back legs of calf roping horses that come to a fast and sliding stop; bell boots on the front leg ankles of barrel horses if the animals over reach with their back legs; a neck rope on a calf roping horse that
