A REVIEW ABOUT THE DIAGNOSTICS OF ROTODYNAMIC PUMP USING VIBRO-ACOUSTIC METHOD ABSTRACT A rotodynamic pump comprises of axial, mixed and radial flow impeller which are used in various applications such as irrigation, drinking water supply system, drainage, energy, process industries and in many other technical areas. They form the heart of industrial civilization. Their trouble-free operation, like our heart is essential to avoid a situation leading to the total closure of the concerned industrial activity. The abundant improvements in the design and performance of rotodynamic pumps are still insufficient to claim perfection in the agreement of theory and practice. As the technology increases, the demand for monitoring system for any machines increases to have optimum performance with optimum resources. In this paper, the vibration and noise associated with centrifugal pumps were reviewed and a method was proposed to obtain vibration and noise from pump to identify the status of pump whether it operates in normal or abnormal condition. Keywords: Rotodynamic Pump, bep, Centrifugal Pump, Noise and Vibration ? INTRODUCTION The noise of the pump is provoked by fluctuations of …show more content…
2, it infers that operating point plays a vital role in life of pumps. When cavitation within the pump occurs, an additional noise generation mechanism appears - the so called cavitation noise having a characteristic crackling or hissing noise. Cavitation noise is produced by the pulsation waves of bubbles and by the collapse (implosion) of the vapour bubbles at the moment when they enter the region of high pressure. It is necessary to know the condition of pump while running. In order to find out the operating point, a system as to be adapted with vibration and noise measurement incorporated in the pumping system. In general vibration and noise monitoring program is a common means of protecting mechanical equipment from catastrophic failures and to have optimum
Emma Carruth Period 2 25 October, 2015 Dr. Frank Project Proposal Researchable Question: How does a circuit connected to a pump regulator, which models an artificial pancreas, affect the regulation of blood sugar over time? Experiments: Using an acidic solution (Vinegar) to mimic the high blood glucose levels and a basic solution (Baking Soda) to mimic the insulin. A pump, that is connected to a cricut board, will turn on and off automatically based on how high the glucose levels are and it will add the basic solution to the acidic solution so that it will return the glucose levels to normal. I will see if and how the pump transfers the basic solution to the acidic solution with the starting levels of the vinegar in order to neutralize the “blood

2. Identify the steps required to secure the financing. A good fleet and maintenance program will track the maintenance, usage, and mileage of its fire fleet. This data provides the necessary information required to forecast apparatus replacement in a proactive capacity.
The Inuit throat singing Tanya Tagaq describes is a very strange thing. In Pump up the Volume Tanya Tagaq Adds New Sound to a Centuries-Old Women’s Cultural Tradition by Megan Perry, Tagaq says “throat singing isn’t a sound that’s easy to describe, even for Tanya Tagaq, so she relies on comparisons” and ends up describing the sound, saying “it’s breath, it’s rhythm. To be very, well, pompous about it, it’s like the sushi of sound” (Perry 22). This style of music, or vocal games as ethnomusicologist Kay Kaufman Shelemay translates the meaning of katajjaq to be. Shelemay says this sound is made by two women in the game from the “rapid breathing in and out” which enables them to produce two additional sounds called voiced and voiceless sounds” (Shelemay 28).
The ultrasound machine has seven different parts, “the first part which is the most important part which is referred to the “eyes and ears of the human body” which is called the transducer probe, which sends and receives sound waves. The second part of the machine is the CPU ( central processing unit) and it is a computer that does all of the calculations and contains the electrical power supplies for itself and the transducer probe. Then the third part of this machine is the transducer pulse control, it changes the amplitude, frequency and duration of the pulses
The user controls the pulsation frequency $f_p$, through the motor speed $\omega_m$, and the mean pressure $p_M$, through the pressure regulator in the inlet line. The pressure amplitude $p_A$, on the other hand, depends on the facility line-cavity behavior. As shown in Fig.\ref{fig:2b}, the relative pressure amplitude $\hat{p}_A= p_A/p_M$ decreases when increasing mean pressure and the pulsation frequency, though asymptotically approaching a constant
We solved this problem when we made the Y pump. The Y pump has one in and two outs which all have hydraulic gates and can be controlled
The Article “Finding Flow” by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, expresses the choice we have in life to live or die until the end of days. He shows how we take control of our own destiny, and to not let distractions get in the way of our accomplishment. Csikszentmihalyi portrays that everyone has a different idea of accomplishment and goals, but living life to the fullest is shared by many. By saying this he means don’t waste your potential by letting side issues get in the way. In the article Csikszentmihalyi mentions a study held in a factory where most welders hated their jobs and found no passion in it.
The basic principle of the most vehicles on either in land, air or water is mixing fuel and air. Cars, trucks, jet engines, and motorcycles mixed fuel and air to become power and burn in cylinders inside the engine. The amount of fuel and air that enters the engine varies from time to time, depending on the time running, speed, and other factors. However, modern vehicles use and electronic devices to control the amount of air and fuel that enters the system called fuel injection Carburetor was invented by an Italian, Luigi de Cristoris on 1876. After a few years, Karl Benz made his own carburettor when he developed the first automobile run by internal combustion.

Cheever In “The Swimmer” we begin on a Sunday afternoon with Donald and Helen Westerhazy and Neddy and Lucinda Merrill socializing around the Westerhazy’s pool drinking and enjoying the beautiful day. Neddy is described as “he seemed to have the special slenderness of youth—and while he was far from young he slid down his banister that morning” shows us one example of how Neddy is in denial of his true age. (Cheever 2363). As the story progresses Neddy comes up with the idea that he was going to swim all the way home through the different bodies of water along the way and he named the stream “Lucinda after his wife” (Cheever 2363).
The purpose of this lab was to observe the phenomenon of resonance in an open ended cylindrical tube and use resonance to determine the velocity of sound in air at regular temperatures. A hypothesis for this lab was that if the frequency of the tuning fork increased, then the length of the tube to achieve resonance will increase because of the high amplitude of the vibration. The resonance of the open-closed tube was found through these steps. First, the tube was filled with water with an inner tube inside the outer tube. The water temperature was measured.
Anything that has motion involved is kinetic energy. The motion can be able to produce kinetic energy. An object that is moving can be able to do work with anything it hits. The conclusion of its motion is the amount of work being done. Kinetic energy can be passed from one object to another by clashing towards each other.
Nonetheless, competitors of Wilkerson overlooked the opportunity to make profit for themselves in flow controllers, due to the fact that Wilkerson has increased the product price by 10% without losing any business. President of the Wilkerson Company was discussing the business’s operating results with his financial controller and manufacturing manager. Reason for this meeting was because; competitors were now reducing the price of their pumps, posing a threat to Wilkerson’s major product line. Since pumps where a commodity product for Wilkerson, they had no other choice but to match the competitors price in order to maintain volume. Unfortunately, Wilkerson’s price cuts led to a decline in their company profits, especially in the pump line.
