Selena Quintanilla Perez is a Tex Mex singer. She traveled around the U.S. and Mexico performing. Her fan club president got mad at Selena and decided to kill her. February, Saldivar was stealing money from the fan club. Selena fired Saldivar
but Saldivar had to keep working to find the missing money. After Selena's
concert she went to collect the money but some was still missing, so she went
back to the hotel and they had a massive argument. When Selena turned to
leave, Saldivar took out a gun and shot Selena in the back of her right shoulder.
She was rushed to the hospital and declared dead at 1:09 p.m. on Friday March
31, 1995 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Selena was only 23 years old.
Selena's legacy was honored with a memorial statue. Named "Mirador de
la Flor" (viewpoint of the flower), this memorial to the late Tejano star features a
5'8" life-sized bronze statue of Selena wearing a leather jacket with microphone
in hand, sculpted by H. W. "Buddy" Tatum, a Corpus Christi artist. She is leaning

Ricardo Leyva Muñoz Ramirez, born February 29, 1960, in El Paso, Texas, was one of America's most notorious serial killers, rapists and burglars. Murdering 13 people in California from 1984 to 1985. Ramirez was convicted and sentenced to death but died on June 7, 2013, in Greenbrae, California, while in prison. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Ramirez was the youngest child of five siblings. Ramirez was born into a large family and spent most of his childhood with his cousins.

Apparently Yolanda was stealing money from Selena’s fan club and was trying to hide it. Selena’s father, Abraham, informs Selena about this and they confront Yolanda together. Obviously Yolanda wouldn 't admit to it right away. In a panic, knowing that she was found, Yolanda met with Selena and ended up shooting her in the back. The accident became fatal and Selena passed away.

She has won over 60 awards from 1983-1995 and she gave much of her money to charities. She was a spokesperson for battered women and also made a shelter for battered women, she also supported the D.A.R.E association, and raised awareness for HIV/AIDS to finance research.

Ramirez killed at least fourteen people in his spree while raping and torturing many more. His criminal beginnings turned to violence in June of 1984 with his first known slaying of 79-year-old Jennie Vincow. Vincow was sexually assaulted, stabbed and ultimately killed in her home. Authorities had not yet caught Ramirez after this brutal homicide, therefore he was free to continue his spree on countless more helpless victims.
