3.0 PROBLEM STATEMENT

Literally, the obsession of selfies and take photographs of one’s owns become popular among society especially social media users. How far can the selfie obsession go? The issues here is excessive selfie posting on social media may lead to various mental health problem and it can cause them to affect their self-esteem.
The researcher examines whether obsession to selfie could give effect on social media users’s self-esteem as well as overall evaluation of selfie-posting behavior and intention to post selfies in the future whether it is related with narcissistic behaviour or not.
In a research conducted by money-saving app Voucher Cloud, study reveals that selfie addiction is a sign of low self-esteem. This were prove when a regular selfie-takers were asked about how they felt about their appearance and relationships. Educators suggest that parents talk to their children about the dangers of the internet, the side effect of using them without controlled and exceeds the limits. Explain what should be done and what should not, the pros and cons exposing oneself to social media just to get an attention. Exposing kids to internet should be in moderation.
