“Cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health”, it is one of the most common precautions or warnings we often see in public places like in streets and even in stores who sells cigarettes. Why do people smoke when in fact they already know what are the consequences and bad effects that they can get from it? Some people who smoke say that smoking can make them feel relaxed and it can give them energy whenever they are going through a hard time, or whenever they feel pressured and stressed. However, there are many people who care about their health and people who may have a poor lung function that deserves the right to a healthy environment. Smoking should be ban in public places. In addition, Smoking also raises the risk of cancer. Scientists said that there are over 4,000 compounds in cigarette smoke were a sizeable number of them are toxic and it damages human cells and that some causes cancer but not only does smoking increase the risk of lung cancer, it’s also a risk factor for cancer of the tongue, mouth, throat, nose, nasal sinus, voice box, esophagus, pancreas, stomach, liver, kidney, bladder, bowel, cervix, ovary, and bone marrow (myeloid leukemia). Lastly, secondhand smoke has serious negative health consequences. Secondhand smoke has serious negative health consequences and there will be some person who doesn’t care about what smoker’s do to their own health, although educators would advise them to quit for their own good and they do care that this untidy behavior affects the health of others. It will happen soon that people will have to wear masks to cover their mouths whenever they pass by a smoker and they have to avoid certain places such as , public places like markets and streets.
