Culture in Dubai
Dubai is known for its multi-culture experiences where people from different nationalities mingle together and there is a learning of various cultures, languages and religion. Although you are in another country and not of your own, there is no categorization seen as the people are treated as guests and are sometimes considered as second class citizens. The outsiders are always treated with good hospitality and the rules are the same for all the citizens of the country, there is no discrimination seen in Dubai (Arun M. and Yap M.T. (2000).
In the physical environment it can be seen that before 1960 there were only small towns and villages for settlement. The oil resources enabled major scope for modernization and the towns were transformed from the state of mud wall communities

Singapore had made a determination to the financial community. But the economy of Singapore is run by expatriates at a much more fundamental level because the life in Singapore is very expensive. This explains why many of those who keep the wheels of the Singapore machine running do not actually live in Singapore at all. They prefer to live across the border in Malaysia, where accommodation can be a third of the price that Singapore’s landlords charge.
Similarly like Singapore, Dubai runs on the basis of expatriates. The shops, banks and hotels would not build by itself therefore it is considered the expatriate workers who keep it going. Singapore states that they welcome anyone who is willing to work hard in their country and Dubai also makes the same sort of claim (Sýkora, L. (1994). Both countries share the same interest.
However in the first occurrence, there was an agreement that all the cities in the region offered a serious challenge that is related to a combination of political stability, good infrastructure, tolerant living conditions and high quality
Oil has been the saviour of many and gave them something to live for. Oil was discovered in Texas in 1901 on spindletop. The thick goopy substance called petroleum made many families and individuals richer than they would have ever believed. It made job opportunities for most everyone and caused big changes to the society and how people live. What are the biggest social changes caused by the discovery of oil?
That’s why the whole country is in chaos: drugs, violence, unemployment, and homelessness. The American society is the richest and most prosperous in the world but it is hardly safe and peaceful,” (Reyes 181). America shouldn’t have input on how Singapore acts
Oil reserves and crude oil production increased, and for a short time, Louisiana had more jobs than they had people to fill them. This boom stretched out to the rural communities. Men and women moved into cities for jobs, and for the first time in years, as Edith Ambrose stated in the video, “they had money in their
Growing up, I have always had an interest in geography and thinking about different countries and what makes them the way that they are. I have not been in a geography class since middle school and Human Geography was a class that made me think about things I have never thought of before. The readings of both Kropotkin and Mackinder brought up very interesting points, some that conflict and others that agree. Each author writes in a way that stimulates and makes you think about geography and certain topics in different ways which I find to be very rare in writings from this time period. Discussing Kropotkin’s and Mackinder’s general ideas, points they disagree or agree on, and my own views on the topic will all be discussed in this final paper.
Another one of the very important things that happened was the growth of the colleges in Texas when they found oil. The reason that this was so important was because it allowed people to go to a good college in their home state. This created a lot of jobs, companies, and people with a good education in Texas. The oil was found in the the two million acres of land that was given to the college by the legislature because he thought that the land would be useless. After the oil boom the college decided to drill for oil in hopes of finding it and sure enough they found oil.

Since transportation was easier and faster, people could live in the suburbs on the edge of towns. For example, queens outside New York doubled in size in the 1920s. By the end of the 1920s, more than 26 million cars were sold, and lots of new towns were created. Another advancement that is important is the development of trucks. In the beginning, trucks were old fashioned and had lots of flaws.
One benefit was that oil provided many jobs for unskilled people. In today's show, I will explain how oil caused changes in Texas. Three important social changes oil brought to Texas in the 1900’s are the rise in divorce rates, the making of communities, and the spinoff work for colored Americans. For
Most of the oil could be exported by pipeline or by the Port of Galveston. Many of the larger cities grew over 500% during this time. This would be a great time for Texas and of growth. Many people would come to seek work during the Great depression and also when WW2 started and needed to build the logistical side of the war effort.

The most notable improvements were in technology. Most of this technological advances were in transportation, like subways or cars, but the best techological improvement was the abillity to build higher buildings and tenements. With this improvement camed the dumbbell tenements which improved the way of living of tenements with more ventilation, light and space, but life in the tentment was still dangerous. The tentment changed more when Jacb Riis published pictures of the lifestock of poor people. People started to realise how bad that life stack was and they decided to help.
But, living in a multicultural city is by itself a very beneficial exercise not only on a personal level but also in terms of cultural exchange, economic exchange and generating new ideas. One experiences what is called cultural variety when living in a diverse area. He is somehow introduced to new kinds of foods, architectures, arts, music, festivals, religions, mythologies, writings and more of general day-to-day life. These new things would easily open one’s heart and mind to new places, new ideas and new people. According to (Wolfstone, 2010) nowadays all people around the world happily go out and eat Chinese food, use Japanese technology, drive German
Challenge of modernization and globalization in the UAE society Introduction The UAE is renowned for its rich cultural heritage heavily manipulated by Arab and Islamic traditions.
