Nonrenewable Energy Sources

Energy, according to Joseph (2014), “Is the ability to do work, or the ability to move or elicit change in matter.” Indeed, energy is everywhere and in everything. In fact, it is almost used in everything in our lives and in every living cell. Energy can be absorbed from different sources such as food, sun, wind, and organic products. It is used differently and in different areas of life. An important type of energy today for humans is energy as a source of electricity. It is usage can be in lightening our houses, moving cars, planes, to large rocket traveling through the galaxy. Furthermore, this source of energy can be obtained from two complete opposite sources. One is the traditional burning of fossil fuels such as coals, oil, nuclear, …show more content…

In other words, it helps us to save the environment. We can reduce those impacts by consuming less energy”. Furthermore, another reason is because of the recent changes in global temperature and the rising of global warming that fossil fuels burning is the most responsible if not the main reason. Regardless of the entire positive effects of renewable energy sources, we should keep using fossil fuels as s source of energy because of the energy in them, cost, scale, and …show more content…

But what is always important in these findings is the amount of energy contained inside that substance and how easily it can be combusted is important as well. According to Evgeni (nd), “Fossil fuels are easily combustible. Most combustion engines need to be powered with little amount of fuel to and they can produce large amount of energy. Fossil fuels have been serving us for centuries. “Furthermore, what this supports is that a small amount can result in large release of energy and so this is true almost for all fossil fuel sources. And as opposed to renewable sources that large quantity cannot be absorbed from them since they need large areas. An example is coal which is of the earliest foundations of humans and one of the most powerful sources of energy used today. According to Rani (2014), 36,907.52 thousands megawatts hours was produced from coal only in Texas and only for the first Quarter. Other States such as Indiana and Ohio came after Texas generated 27,633.11 and 26,969.945 respectively from Coal only. Furthermore, Nuclear power is another source that is used extensively with coal especially in the states. According to the same source, Illinois produced 24,117.251 thousands megawatts from nuclear
