The real solutions for all his problems are given in the prescribed scriptures. The Supreme Lord has mercifully provided the Vedic scriptures to help all suffering men of this world. Men can utilize these scriptures to solve their problems and achieve the ultimate goal of liberation. Srimad Bhagavatam is the guiding light for achieving this goal. In the very same scripture we find predictions on Kali Yuga. We take you through some of these forecasts.

Guided by able brahmanas he used to rule the people as per the codes of dharma (religion). In Kali Yuga, we do not find such brahmanas and able administrators. Nations are ruled by corrupt and uncultured politicians who gain power by illegal means. Money, power and scams have become synonym with politicians. From 1990 to 2005 a famous politician and his party gave the state of Bihar in India the worst government, often known as the ‘Jungle Raj’. It was governance at its worst where ministers and civil servants barely attended the secretariat. Corruption was rampant, resulting in social and economic imbalance. Another statistics claims that 70 percent of women aged 30 to 34 have cohabited with a male partner earlier to their marriage. Two-thirds of new marriages take place between couples who have already lived together for an average of 31 months. Around hundred years back, life was simple and rarely would we hear of such
Forty years ago, Australia saw the introduction of the Family Law act which, in turn, gave women rights to their own marital status and helped to remove the negativity against being divorced. The old system was said to be “pointless” as it became near impossible to prove a default within a marriage. The Family Law Act has not only impacted divorce itself but also the stigma attached to marriage. Since the new policy was introduced, the idea of marriage being a “necessity” of spending your life with someone is slowly fading away. Most couples are now, prior to marriage living together and have started a
1.) Samuel May was a “jack of all trades” in his time which was from 1783 to 1851. As the document states he was “a carpenter, surveyor, contractor, ferryman, innkeeper, farmer, justice of the peace, gold prospector, and politician.” As you can see there wasn’t much that Samuel couldn’t do. Men were required to provide, while women submitted under their authority (15). Although they assumed this would allow for a happy marriage, this ideal was rarely upheld and led to many arguments within the household (15). Influenced by their upbringing, most women married despite these
Ultimately, he concludes that the concept of working-class family in which wife is a homemaker and husband the sole provider for the family no longer exist. He bases his conclusions on the premise that shift in cultural attitudes and lack of livable wages for working class have created alternative forms of cohabitation, where the partners aren’t married and have children out of wed-lock, which have been replacing the standard family unit—although in an unstable manner. I am convinced by his arguments because current ideas of
The civil service exams, which are daylong tests designed to elect officials based on merit and skill rather than royal birth, started to become corrupt. As education correlated with wealth, many wealthy people had the opportunity of getting the correct education for the exams. Also, wealthy fathers who held power would take advantage of the civil service exams in order to get his son to take his position. There is significant separation with the classes, as the wealthy held power and the poor did not. These power shifts between the rich and poor had started to corrupt the state.

Eric Bartels analyzes the difficulties of modern-day marriage in his article, “My Problem with Her Anger,” by examining his own marital experiences. By optimistic confrontation and resolution of his family’s problems, Bartels believes that not only will he save his marriage, but he will also be rewarded for his sacrifices (63). The author claims he realized the separation between men and women during his late night chores (57). To illuminate this separation, Bartels acknowledges that his wife contributes more to childcare than he does, but asserts that he tries to reduce as much of this pressure as he can through cooking, cleaning, and shopping (58). Despite the author’s attempts, he contends that his endeavors to decrease his wife’s stress
A family is the most precious identity a person can have. An individual whether from a noble, average or poor family can be distinguished by their discipline, character, behavior, customs and living conditions. In every generation parents and children illustrate different patterns and behaviors in family’s lifestyles prior to the previous ones. Family contributes to an individual’s growth, thinking and behavior. The standards for an ideal family back in the 1960s are extremely different than the standards held by an ideal family today.

In this speech, I’ll convince you that marriage is a thing of the past, and that society’s views on marriage have changed enough in the past decade that marriage really isn’t necessary anymore. One of the main purposes of marriage is to maintain a permanent relationship, but nowadays marriage doesn’t lead to a permanent relationship due to the increase of divorce rates.
The article’s purpose is to pinpoint specific cultural traits that cause problems in modern relationships. It dives into the history of marriage to illustrate that our modern views on marriage and love are new and specific to the twentieth century.
