The education sector in India is getting recognition in both national and international arena; opportunities for teaching professionals are expected to grow further. However, not everyone in this profession can benefit from these opportunities. If a teacher wants to do well in this teaching field in developing student friendly colleges, inculcating some intrinsic personality characteristics along with brushing up professional skills are very essential. It will help them cover miles in their career.
Friendly college is one, which is free from caste, class and hatred. There prevails only one mantra i.e., ‘Equality’ and ‘Integrity’. It is a place where students gain wings wherewith they can fly to sky, a place where all the stones polished to a shining pearl. Children are natural learners, but this capacity to learn can be undermined and sometimes destroyed. For instance, in ancient days, we heard about the relationship between the guru and shishya. The shishya obeyed everything which the guru told rather either it was right or wrong. Now we take a famous example of Eklavya and Dronacharya. In this story, Dronacharya was a teacher of Arjun. However, when he saw that Eklavya is a better shooter than Arjun then he asks for right thumb from Eklavya. In addition, Eklavya gave him his right thumb with happiness. They must have organising capacity, friendly and helpful nature to enter into this field. They should have the ability to communicate well, to create a liking in young minds even in the case of most boring subjects. They should have a deep passion for the subject one handles.
