Leaders during World War II are looked at as heroes. U.S. general, George S. Patton said, “Accept the challenge, so that you may feel the exhilaration of victory.” Successful leaders like him helped save many lives during The Holocaust, which is one of the worst tragedies in world history. Overall, people whose efforts were effective in the time of liberation saved many Jews. Ever since The Holocaust, efforts have been made to make sure that nothing like it will ever happen again. During The Holocaust, there were many concentration camps. Concentration camps were created to force and contain Jewish prisoners where they worked tirelessly and received barely any food. Dwight D. Eisenhower, Douglas MacArthur, and George S. Patton were successful, powerful, and driven leaders in saving Jews. Therefore, as a group, they all contributed to achieve this goals and finish off Nazi Germany. During World War II, Dwight D. Eisenhower was successful because of his attack strategies. Eisenhower served as Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces in Europe. He worked tirelessly to address the demands of the rival commanders and optimize Allied forces. In recognition of his senior position in the Allied Army, on December 20, 1944, he was promoted to General of the Army. Eisenhower always showed his leadership on the battlefield. Later on, he became involved with the Philippines in his mission to save Jews during The Holocaust. He was sent there in 1935 and was associated with them until about 1942.
