Although the level of interest would depend on the area of the world the school in which the teacher is working. This would be particularly interesting in Asia, for example in a major city in China where there are western restaurants available.
Such a field trip would allow students to develop vocabulary related to food and visiting a restaurant and other key aspects of vocabulary.
Another interesting type of field trip would be something historical, which would of course give the students the opportunity to practice the past tense. Although it is important that the teacher prepares some information in English and vocabulary practice with the class before to the trip.
Nonetheless field trips also provide an interesting means of learning and practicing vocabulary in a real world setting. This gives not only relevance and meaning but also context which is an important aspect of teaching English (Busy Teacher, n.d.).

As we can see from the methods and techniques discussed there are some varied activities. The resourceful teacher will certainly be able to select the appropriate methods which will engage the students to meet the criteria outlined in the lesson
