Technology is implemented in many aspects of daily life. Communication is an area that technology has taken over. With the use of technology for communication, people no longer have to have as many face-to-face interactions as they once did. Less face-to-face interactions may promote negative behaviors such as internet addiction, social anxiety, and communications apprehension. There are some common skills needed for effective online interactions and face-to-face interactions such as social competence, certain behaviors, and common motives. This paper will explore the effect of technology-based communication on society. Technology and Social Interactions
Technology is a word in everyone's vocabulary today. There are countless tools that have been created to help us with a wide variety of activities. The purpose of technology is to make our lives easier, more practical, and more efficient. One of the many activities technology assists us with is communication with others. We can share information with another person, countless miles away, in an extremely short amount of time. Phones allow us to call and send text messages.
