Technology is implemented in many aspects of daily life. Communication is an area that technology has taken over. With the use of technology for communication, people no longer have to have as many face-to-face interactions as they once did. Less face-to-face interactions may promote negative behaviors such as internet addiction, social anxiety, and communications apprehension. There are some common skills needed for effective online interactions and face-to-face interactions such as social competence, certain behaviors, and common motives. Technology is a word in everyone's vocabulary today. There are countless tools that have been created to help us with a wide variety of activities.
