The blame lies on the former Governor and Texas Legislature for this awful decision. And as it stands, there are no talks from Texas Legislature to expand Medicaid in the near future. Not every person is a politician, but it seems that anyone could see that Texas is in dire need of some help to tuen the current healthcare crisis around. It is unsure if Texas Legislature is too stubborn to admit defeat, or if they are so against Democrats and Obama to want to jump on the bandwagon. But the question to them is, are Texas residents too good to admit that they need assistance?
It represents the second largest source of export. However, Niger’s agricultural industry cannot satisfy its own population because its production of food doesn’t meet the demand. Although only 4% of Niger’s land is arable, “the agricultural industry is mainly based upon internal markets, subsistence farming, herding, small trading, seasonal migration and informal markets and export” (Niger Honorary Consulate UK). In the last years, severe drought and floods brought famine in the country. In 2012, Mark Tran, a reporter of The Guardian, wrote: “At the best of times this vast landlocked country [Niger] – whose estimated 14.7 million people mostly live along a narrow strip of arable land on its southern border – has trouble feeding itself” (Tran).
Another big thing in Texas’ Executive branch. The Governor in Texas is considered a ‘weak governor’. They are referred as ‘weak governors’ due to the fact they have very little power, second to last when it comes to executive powers to be exact, but Texas governors are one of the nation’s most visible state officials and among the highest paid governor in the United States. When you think of Texas Governors most people think of George W. Bush, he was the governor of Texas before becoming the President of The United States. It would be nice to know how he felt about the differences in the Texas executive branch and the U.S. executive branch, since he was the head position in
Kari Davisson GOVT 2306-86021 Professor Summerlin 21 Sept. 2015 Texans’ Circle of Political Distrust Political and economic corruption in E.J. Davis’ Texas government before the Constitutional Convention of 1875 caused distrust of government by Texans. Texans especially do not trust government officials with their tax dollars, which has resulted in low taxes, low spending, and high federal aid. Without money to spend directly, Texas government officials have created numerous unfunded mandates, which still result in poor social programs and services. The extremely poor education system in Texas has resulted in the lowest number citizens with high school diplomas and, therefore, an extremely low voter turnout.
Texas the second most populous state of USA had its political development since its independence from Mexico. This win over the Confederates allowed the Union to take control over the Missouri for the next two years. There were 4,600 Confederate casualties and approximately 1,400 Union casualties all in an effort to take control in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. To conclude with, the Battle at Pea Ridge was a short battle with not many casualties. Though this battle was small it did have a large advantage for the Union by its Victory. The location remained in the Union’s possession for two years after the battle.

the population of Wink, Texas drastically shrank after the oil boom was over. In fact, as of 2013, Wink, Texas had a population of 1,006. Unlike the other topics featured, Wink’s success was only temporary. Today, people can still be educated at the universities oil profits created and people still have jobs in the oil industry. That is why I would choose to exclude this from the radio
Apart from this uneven distribution the system of “winner takes all” also discourages people from going out to vote. For example, some Republican lives in a Democratic state that always goes Democratic when it comes to elections, they tend to not go out and vote because they know their vote won’t make a difference because of this “winner takes all” system. In the past 4 elections there has been an average voter outcome which is all around the same, but there is still a chunk of people who don’t go out and vote. Another reason people may not go out to vote is the unfairness of elections. For example, in this past election the two candidates were Donald Trump (Republican) and Hillary
I hope I have shown you enough reasons as why minimalism is the best lifestyle. I do acknowledge that I do not have the right to tell you on how you have to lead your life and you might be saying that you got the full right to live your life as you wish. However, I recommend you to understand and apply minimalism slowly in your life and you will find its unconditional benefits that you are not well-informed and how it might change your life in the most pleasant way. After all, the only things that will remain in the end are your memories, dreams and experiences and you would not get all of these from all your material possessions. So, own your things before they own you.
