How are the teaching ideas different between the schools of America and the schools of China ? The teaching ideas form two ways between the schools of America and the schools of China. Specifically , this essay will take place in Kennedy High School as the representative of American School and Beida Institution as the representative of Chinese School . More specifically , Kennedy High School is the smallest school among those High schools which are located in Fremont , California . Kennedy High School has its own teaching methods such as there are four sessions for a school day . For instance , the hairstyle requirement is counted as a management in school . Luckily , Kennedy High School does not give much attention about the hairstyle but Beida Institution’s management requires that boys have to get a crew cut and girls’ hair could not be longer than their shoulders . Another instance , school also suggests that all students must wear the clothes in a property way . The students can wear whatever they want if they follow the clothes requirement in Kennedy High school . Hopelessly , Beida Institution’s students have to wear the school uniforms once they attendent school . Moreover , school ID requirement is the obvious difference . Kennedy High School’s students can put the school ID card anywhere but Beida Institution’ s students are asked to wear the school ID card in front of their chest . Finally , shoes have been limited in both schools . Kennedy High School’s coachers ask students to wear sneakers or sports shoes in P.E. class in order that students can prevent injuries from doing sports . Beida Institution does not recommend any about it but slippers are strongly prohibited in school for no reason . In today’s society, people use fashion and their daily outfits as a key way to express themselves. Students are constantly told throughout their school careers that they should demonstrates what makes them “different”, yet uniforms deny that sense of self-expression. According to Grace Chen of the Public School Review, uniforms may result in students turning to “other avenues of self-expression that may be viewed as even more inappropriate than clothing” (Ethos, professional credibility). This includes a nontraditional hairstyle, make up, or acting out towards authority at school or at home.

During warm summers it can get real hot wearing long pants and in the winter, the girls would not be comfortable wearing skirts in freezing temperatures. To pay attention in school you need to be comfortable in what you are wearing without distractions. There is also the burden and additional expense to parents with students wearing dress codes for school and the other clothes after school which could double family budgets.
