The Fault in Our Stars is the story of two teenagers who fell in love. I concur that this story is different from many other love stories because the two teens were both battling different kinds of cancer. Their illnesses brought many complications to their lives, yet they were determined to not let it stop them from enjoying life. Sadly, at the end of the book, Augustus dies due to his illness. The Fault in Our Stars was made into a movie; the book and movie each contained the most important parts of the story, while some minor details were left out of the movie. There are several important similarities in the book and movie. Firstly, Hazel and Augustus travel to Amsterdam. Augustus uses his Cancer Wish, from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, …show more content…
In the book, the outdoor setting of Oranjee was beautiful, with petals falling all around them, and their table overlooked the canal. Yet, in the movie, they had to dine inside because at the time of filming it was too cold to use the outdoor setting. The Fault in Our Stars was a touching book that was made into a movie, in which only minor details were excluded. The similarities and differences show that this story was extremely powerful, and that even though a few things were left out of the movie, the story was still incredibly moving. While the movie was very impressive, I enjoyed the reading the book more. In the book, I felt emotionally attached to the characters because I got to read their reactions to everything that happened to them. I felt especially close to Hazel, because it was written from her point of view. In the movie, I did not feel as intense of a connection with the characters, but I still loved seeing them come to life on-screen. Also, reading the eulogy that Augustus wrote Hazel made me cry. It was so beautifully and emotionally written that I almost felt that Augustus wrote those words for me. In the movie, when Hazel read the eulogy to herself, I did not feel that same connection because I knew it was only for
I think these differences make the book and the movie way both interesting. I think the differences are good because it sums it all up and with hearing both the book and the movie it fills in the blank questions in your
In my opinion there are a lot of comparisons between the film and the book, but there are also differences between them too, but also they have impacted the audience in both the film and the
The movie is both funny and action packed but the book is more detailed. So I enjoyed the book more. The film forgot a lot of characters and changed many scenes and it really frustrated me. Also in the book you can see more character development. Even though the film was not exactly like the book the director did a great job, and this still is one of my favorite movies.
The Outsiders: Compare and Contrast In the novel “The Outsiders,” by S.E Hinton and the movie by Francis Ford Coppola have numerous similarities and differences. Our thoughts on these particular aspects are very diverse as the universe is. Many things have been either left out or diminished from the movie, which makes it less interesting as the suspense lessens as you have finished reading the book. Although this might be the case, there were also many similarities between the two sources.
Firstly, in my opinion I think it has more details than the movie. The book has the same characters but in the book there is three sisters. The book had details that felt so real. It described everything, the setting and the mood.
Many people, if asked what they would prefer, would prefer to read the book instead of watching the movie. It could be because the movie will always leave some parts from the story out. It seems like directors of the movie always leave out parts from the book, only incorporating the important parts from the story. Some also say that they prefer to leave the descriptions of things in the book up to their imagination. Also, when you are reading the book, you get to read the main characters point of view on things.
In the movie and book there were many similarities. One similarity was that there was the movie scene where they meet Cherry and
There are many movies and books that have tons of similarities and differences. I choosed A Series of Unfortunate Events, because of the nail biting moments that are in the book and movie. Plus, and you just want to know what happened. They both have many differences, but not many similarities. Some of the differences are very big changes and might make you like the other one more.
A major difference is that there are some characters that were in the book that aren't in the movie like Flora Baumbach, Theo Theodorakis, and Madame Hoo. Even though the movie wasn’t as good or as exciting as the book, they were both interesting and are fun to read and listen
In the end I found the film to be easier to understand vs the book as it was an easier and more straight forward plot line whereas in the book it seemed to jump around leading to constant flipping between stories and pages to get a better
The Fault in Our Stars is a beautiful novel written by John Green. This story takes place in Amsterdam and Indianapolis, where it 's based mainly on two characters, Hazel, and Augustus. Hazel is facing stage four Thyroid cancer, and Augustus suffers from osteosarcoma, another form of cancer. Hazel is a very heartwarming character who never gives up no matter what, but like most teenagers, she dislikes doing what her parents believe is good for her. Her parents tried convincing her to attend a support group, but she just didn 't buy it until one day her mom forces her to go.
With that being said, there are many similarities between the film and the book. First of all, the main characters in the movie and the novel were the same. The four most important characters in both were the two boys, Mr. Halloway and Mr. Dark. Next, in the novel and the film the boys, the protagonists, overthrow the antagonist, Mr. Dark and the carnival. Lastly, they have the same setting of the small city of Greentown.
Although there are many differences between the two, there are also many similarities. Like how in both the movie and the novel she outsmarts the
There are many differences made in the movie and the book to simplify the plot to save time. Majority of the simplifications being made do not affect the story, but have a different way of portraying each chapter. The movie and the book portray the messages in different ways with the same meaning. What happened in the beginning of the movie was that Huck was getting into a fight with a kid and he soon discovered Pap’s footprint, while in the beginning of the book Huck being civilized by Widow Douglas.
I enjoyed the movie better than the book. It included just the right amount of action scenes, description words, and details from the story. The story was amazing but I like seeing things more than reading them. I usually like the movies better than the book.
