A SURVEY: AUTOMATIC DIAGNOSIS OF TONGUE IMAGE FOR IDENTIFYING VARIOUS DISEASES
Abstract: Automatic tongue diagnosis system accordingly becomes an inevitable trend in Chinese medicine. Tongue has many relations both to the internal organs and to the meridians of the body. It can present the strong visual indicators of the person’s overall harmony and disharmony. Tongue images are the essential features for diagnosing various diseases. Different doctors may come to different conclusion with a little overlap based on the presentation of same tongue. Therefore tongue diagnosis is one of the most important and widely used diagnostic methods in Chinese medicine. It is difficult to get an effective diagnosis of diseases without an effective tongue image

In the second phase pimple detection, crack detection are done with the help of the segmented image in which threshold value is assigned for particular area, those region with value less than threshold value is selected and the pimple is highlighted. For the color feature extraction intensity filtering method is used in which different intensity in various areas of the tongue are found using the histogram method then the area with similar intensity are selected and the threshold value is set. The final phase is the texture feature extraction in which Local Gabor XOR Pattern (LGXP) is used. The LGXP method makes use of the phase information of each pixel and then the histograms are plotted as the analysis that is made on each method. The research on this method provides 80% efficiency which remains as the satisfactory results, So there is the need to improve the local intensity methods and edge detection algorithm to get better
Edge detection is widely used for detecting discontinuities in an image. Feature 7 is calculated in following way. The input face image is first converted
Adam Marek, the author of the short story collection titled ‘Instruction Manual for Swallowing’, uses a variety of devices and strategies to create many engaging, humorous stories. Within the collection, the short story ‘Testicular Cancer vs the Behemoth’ uses the manipulation of mood to establish an astute situation. At the start of the story, we read that the main character - Austin Weaver - has been diagnosed with severe testicular cancer - a death sentence. The author then exhibits the protagonist’s reaction - “The ground shook, and a sound like thunder shot through the city.
The video fluoroscopic assessment was given to 30 volunteers. Each participant was studied sitting down. Different lateral images of the mouth, pharynx and proximal esophagus were taken. The different oral movements have been observed and timed such as the tongue tip movement, hyoid movement, onset and offset of the esophageal sphincter. The results were based on the rate of given bolus seen on the images from the videoflouroscopy.
In our algorithm, we have already taken a good quality of image. 3) Binarize To binarize the image the ridges are denotted by black and furrow are denotted by the white.
After, the color space transformation we are going to extracts the texture vector from that image using sparse texture model. The texture vectors are represented as a set of distributions which is used to cluster the texture data using K-means clustering algorithm. Finding the number of clusters which consists set of texture distributions used to calculate TD metric. After, calculating the TD metric, the image is over segmented using SRM algorithm, which results the image being divided into large number of regions. Next, each region is independently classified as representing normal skin or lesion based on the textural contents of that region.
Reading Response Book: Lemonade Mouth Genre: Chapter Book Text: Literary I am about a quarter of a way through a book called “Lemonade Mouth” which is written by Mark Peter Hughes and was published in 2007. The book is about five kids who formed a band to overcome their struggles in high school. I myself have never been to high school and this book gives me a little idea on what high school could be like.
Gloria Anzaldúa, in her chapter, “How to Tame a Wild Tongue” in the book, Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza, argues that one’s language can be defined by identity and maintaining the tongue is important to not let oppression suffocate the language. She supports her claim by first giving an allegory of her visit at a dentist's office and how the doctor wants to fix her tongue, then revealing how some Chicanos are trying to “fit in” and not be Chicanos, and finally throughout the chapter Anzaldua stops translating to prove a point that even though she is facing oppression, she will not change. Anzaldua’s purpose is to show the relationship between identity and language in order to show that even though that one might be oppressed to not
Rachel Mathews E 260 March 13, 2018 Dr. Shaun Morgan Paper #1 “Bitter in the Mouth” by Monique Truong explores race, gender and sexuality, and never had a definite theme. She also talks about her parents, DeAnne and Thomas, and her best friend, Kelly. She states that she was her father’s tomboy and her mother’s baton twirler and that she went far away for college and law school, now living in New York.
Dental Care is very expensive for some people in the world. People are not able to afford to get their teeth fixed like the celebrities or the high class. That’s why the lower classes have medicaid and medicare or they pay monthly payments. “For every adult without health insurance, an estimated three lack dental insurance, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. ”(Wendell)
A dental assistant is a person who does what their job description implies. They “assist” the dentist in many procedures. Their duties are to take radiographs, assist in restorations, as well as dental extractions. These are just a few of the many responsibilities that a dental assistant entails. An assistant must be fully educated in all procedures that a dentist performs in order to efficiently assist.
Dental assistants support dental specialists or dentists in carrying out dental routine. A dental assistant is not the real dental operator that performs on patients but only an assistant to the licensed dentist. Aspirants of dental assisting career need to attend a dental assisting program at either college or tech school so as to acquire a diploma, certificate or degree. The duration of the program depends on the type of certification targeted. The program comprises both theory and practical.
As some may or may not know, a person 's tongue can show a lot about one 's health status. A tongue can show whether or not you are lacking certain vitamins and it can also show how well one is maintaining their oral hygiene, or whether or not there could be excess bacterial growth. One of the unfortunate conditions a tongue can show us is, black hairy tongue. When tobacco chewing starts to become a fad in high school it is common for influential individuals like teachers and parents to inform kids of black hairy tongue. While tobacco usage can result to a black hair tongue, it is not the only reason for someone to have black hairy tongue.
Self-discovery is driven by the willingness of individuals to make connections with places and people. This is evident in Tara June Winch 's novel "Swallow the Air" as the protagonist discoveries are seen through her connection with the people and her identity. Similarly, the same can be said for James Cameron 's film "Avatar" as Jake the protagonist discoveries is 'visualised through his connection with the land and how this affects his identity. In both of these texts, we can identify how both Tara June Winch and James Cameron interprets the concept of self-discovery in their text.
Dental radiographs are important tools in the diagnosis of oral diseases. It helps the dentist to employ appropriate treatment regimen for patient’s dental conditions, and plays a continual important role in dental practice. Radiation dosage from such dental radiographs are low and are thought to present minimal risk (Enabulele & Igbinedion, 2013) The radiation protection is the science and art of protecting people and environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation.
The Importance of Providing Oral Care Brushing your teeth, how do you feel when you brush your teeth? When you wake up in the morning what is your routine, get up use the restroom, brush your teeth, and then go on about getting ready for the day?
