Trinidad and Tobago is a melting pot of different races, religions, cultures, diversity due to the history of the country whom became independent in 1962 from British rule and became a republic in 1976. Trinidad and Tobago was a slave colony for the Queen of England. Trinidad and Tobago melting pot is soon to over flow if not dealt with in a proper manner and be consume with the world that we live in now with huge amounts of racism shown in some countries towards persons whom have a different colour of skin. This project is a major way to get a understanding of what we are dealing with as a nation with an ageing population.

Usually cultural diversity takes into account language, religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, age and ethnicity. In politics the term diversity should be noted as to describe political entities, with members who have identifiable differences in their cultural backgrounds or lifestyles.

In the industrial aspect, Trinidad has improved the technology usage in the ports, the harbours (more use of scanners on vessels), oil and petroleum and asphalt.
